Another backup linebacker would be nice.

Antowain Smith :D :D :D

Where the heck is Dillon gonna end up? Retirement for reals?

Interesting...Gay was tendered...so what's up with him?? Waiting for him to sign back or??? What about P Sauerbrun?? FA???

You dont have Troy Brown as FA... He is still technially a FA

I must say there isnt much on that list that I would want except Harwell and maybe Kawika Mitchell.

sauerbraun is a FA, but the pats can match any offer another team makes

I like Michael Turner a lot. But he's an RFA and my guess is the Chargers tendered him at least 1st round value so he's not going anywhere.

Interesting to see how LaVar Arrington was just 2 (?) years ago he was the biggest name in FA (for many of the highest bidding teams anyway) and now he's still waiting for a phone call to come.

Hmmm....

Turner was tendered at the TOP level RFA tender. So it will take a 1st and 3rd to make a deal for him.

Don't we still have Miller as our punter ?
Yes, Miller is still the Punter, but he is coming back from his shoulder injury and there are questions as to how he'll do.

No there aren't. He's fine. Don't worry about Josh, he's a rock. A regular Hebrew Hammer.

WR
Tyrone Calico

I remember when Calico was the buzz of the 2003 draft. They were comparing him to Terrell Owens. I think we showed an interest in him during the draft process. Four years later and I'd say we should take a flyer, but with the Washington signing there's no point really... this position is deep.

OL
Kenyatta Walker

I want to know why Ken Walter is not a FA Punter, in fact I want to know why he hasn't been snared by another team, the guy has a hammer for a leg.

What's Turner worth?

To relieve some boredom while watching the paint dry on Mock Draft ver. 22,346.4, just for fun pretend SD is willing to trade Turner here because they know they are going to lose him next year anyway and want to get something for him. Think we're favorites for the SB now? Our offense would be a steam rolling juggernaut with Turner on board. And our defense has the chance to be special already, imagine it with a power ground game chewing up the clock forcing opponents to take silly chances (oh yeah, that happened already -2004). Who could even come close to matching up with the Pats? The Colts? Not any more...

Money and compensation are the issues-

MONEY- We might have a enough room left to sign Turner to a 2 or 3 year deal. I'd figure it will take at least $8mil in bonuses - say a total of 3 years at $5mil/yr gets it done. Plus, Faulk would likely need be traded or cut to make room for Turner's PT and $.

COMPENSATION - Remembering SD can trade Turner for whatever they want if they choose to, what will it take to pry him loose? Would you give them Chad Jackson and next year's 2nd? jackson's hurt but SD is hungry for young WR's.

How about one of our first's this year and next year's 4th?

Faulk (he's 31), a 2nd (next year unless we trade down this year), and 3rd?

Jarvis Green and a future 2nd and 4th?

What would he be worth to a team like Buffalo? I'm surprised we haven't heard any peeps about the Bills talking to Turner now that McGahee is gone.

Please don't scold me for having my head in the clouds - all we do here is fantasy, we're not exactly GM's.

No takers on the Michael Turner question? Save me from insanity, someone please...

I'm surprised Antonio Bryant hasn't garnered any interest from any teams. Obviously there's character issues there, but you'd think somebody would take a chance.
