What is update on his knees? BB know something we don't.

Reports are his knees are great right now. That is why he has been rising the past 2 weeks. Like i said before he was never going to make it past 40 no matter what at this point.

NFL.com projections projected him 3rd or 4th. Don't know where Mel had him projected.

This is a reach pick. Smells like Ras I/Tavon WTF pick. Hopefully he proves us wrong.

3rd/4th is nonsense. He's a top-15 pick if healthy, which makes him probably a second rounder in his current state. Drafting him at 29 was a reach, for sure, but not a "4th rounder in the 1st" level reach.

Ugh, two torn ACLs? Played 3 games last year, was out 13 games. Another injury-prone inexplicable first-rounder. Flashbacks of Ras I Dowling.

Pretty frustrated with this pick, was hoping for a WR.

He's got two popped ACLs. we know how they held up. They didn't. Now we have to hope that a pair of surgically repaired ACLs don't go boing in the night. This was a needless risk to take in the first round.

how do you know his knees aren't stronger than they were before? just because he gets ACL surgery doesn't mean his knees are mush.

How do you know his knees are horrible unless you were his physician. He blew his ACL in 2012 and in 2013 he was playing his way into a top 10 pick. Again I'm not big on him in the first round but if he comes back into form, the Pats just got a force at DT where the Peyton Manning's of the world will no longer consistently have a clean pocket against us.
I bet if the money involved in the 1st rounders was like in the years past they might have not picked him in the 1st round.

B- for this pick. Going to sleep, have to be up in 4 hours. Before though, when does the 2nd round starts tomorrow?

I hope they help Brady besides getting an interior beast (Sua-Filo) but someone who can get open outside of Edelman....Gronk and Dobson I fear will be playing 8-9 games a piece if we're lucky. Brady holding the ball is part of him getting pounded last year. LaFell was let go by Carolina and they are desperate for Wideouts....hes going to be a complimentary 3rd at best.

I think they could've traded down easily and still got him with where the Vikings pick would've been who just traded to Seattle

3rd/4th is nonsense. He's a top-15 pick if healthy, which makes him probably a second rounder in his current state. Drafting him at 29 was a O reach, for sure, but not a "4th rounder in the 1st" level reach.

I guess you know better than NFL.com

Oh snap, Bridgewater at 32... that's unexpected. Probably makes a Mallett trade even more of a sure thing for Texas, if it wasn't already. Like the pick for the vikings.

what are your thoughts on easely?

I always thought he was a second rounder for the Pats because he's a liability against the run. However, he has an elite first step - it's unholy good and he's going to put plenty of pressure on the QB. Chandler Jones' sacks will go up too. Mayo and Hightower will need to stay healthy though because RBs will just run straight past Easley. For an offense wanting to get more aggressive, it's a great pick and QBs will be on their heals almost right from the snap. Revis will be happy.

ACL injuries aren't what they were even 5 years ago......

Can we let the kid play before judging his knees and all that.? Iam sure pats did their research ,more than we do.
Hopefully better research than our Ras-I Dowling pick

Bridgewater to the Vikings. That's very interesting.

The Texans wouldn't draft Derek Carr, would they?

What bothers me most is how this is yet another pick we could have taken at least 1 round later (most likely)
