I wouldn't say that Maroney had staying power and Merriweather got cut. Watson was always on the verge of becoming the football player that we thought he could be, but has underperformed despite being an incredible athlete and switched teams multiple times.
Maroney was good enough to start and averaged more than 4 yards per carry through four years here. Meriweather started and made the Pro Bowl twice. Watson lasted six seasons and started much of the time. None of those guys were what you'd call a "whiff" as a first-round selection.

just not Easley please. 2 shaky knees, worries the crap out of me.
Agree 100%, want no part of him. Even if he turns out to be a star, he's one hit away from being retired.

at this point, I'd like:
1 - TE Amaro
2 - C Richburg
3 - DT anthony johnson
4a - LB tripp
4b - RB jerick mckinnon
6a - S/LB kevin pierre-louis
6b - RB tyler gaffney
7 - TE colt lyerla

Gabe Jackson, Tre Mason, Nix or Tuitt any of these names hit, I would be pleased

My impressions of Maroney are based on his development of happy feet before he was shipped out of here. His last season here, his yards per carry dropped under 4 to 3.9, but he was not hitting the holes consistently and lost BB's confidence. He was replaced by BJGE, an undrafted FA, who average 4.4 ypc in 2010 & 2011.
Meriweather being selected as a pro bowler was a complete joke and many on this board pointed out frequently that he was always looking to make a big hit when he should have been wrapping up the receiver or runner. He lasted 1 season after signing with Chicago and has been injured, then a JAG for the Redskins.

I WOULD call these guys whiffs as first round selections. I expect a first round RB or Safety to be impact players for years. Neither player did anything of note with their post Pats teams either.

All of them, except Johnny Football

Your definition of "whiff" is harsher than mine. I define it as someone who never cracks the starting lineup and doesn't significantly contribute during their tenure with the team.

I take it that you value Ward and Buchanan lower than many do.

Antwann Lowery .... 355 LBS OG

David Born 6-8½, 332 lbs .... 332 LBS OG

Scott Maille 6-2½, 360 lbs ... DT

Just because I'd like to have some heffers in camp.and someone taller than Gronk & Vollmer....

Haven't wasted any time on the draft this year ...
I'll just check in on Bruins commercials and my mocks always suck anyways.

My only prediction was my thread ...
Bill trades out of round one and does so each and every year until he needs to replace Brady.
when he's ready he'll have 2 first round picks to play with for Josh McDaniels run.

Excellent ! Like this draft a lot.

Sneezy aka Jeremiah Attaochu. Would love to see him and his nonstop motor terrorizing opposing quarterbacks.
