Lol. I only say because I expect bb to trade back. With a draft this deep I expect that to happen. Hopefully they get a pick in the top 10 of the 2nd round. If I stay up tonight its to see who's available on day 2

I have to agree with you, it seems like BB never stays in the same spot and actually makes the pick. Oddly enough, IF they stay at 29, I'm thinking if Kelvin Benjamin falls to #29, I think the Pats are going to take him there. They seemed to be targeting big receivers, and though a project, I can see him being a major red zone target for the Pats.

Didn't Benjamin have a 7 on the Wonderlic, though? If that's true, then I don't see how the Pats pick him. Chad Jackson 2.0.

3rd round WR Taylor Price with ADD or some such also comes to mind

Takes two to Tango. If the right player is available at 29, he's not going to push a mediocre trade.

They seem to rarely fall in love with guys late in the first round, though.

I think this is a good year to trade down because teams might trade up for a QB at 29 and it is a deep draft, but I wouldn't bet on the Pats trading down. I think the new CBA and rookie wage scale doesn't prevent the possibility of the Pats being aggressive to trade up like they were two years ago.

Also, with all the QBs and WRs potentially being taken in the first round, a defensive player that Belichick loves who should have gone off the board much earlier might fall to 29 (like Big Vince did in 2004) and that pick might be too good to pass up.

I think it is certainly possible the Pats trade the pick, but I think it is far from a guarantee.

I don't see the great quarterback trade up at 29. I expect 2 to be gone in the top 18 and another 2 in the next 10.

I think that we should reflect on Mayock's mock. I don't see folks trading up to 29 when there are at least a dozen players of about the same value at that point.

I'm sure we will try to trade down. Perhaps SF will see a must-have player.

I'm looking forward to all the outrage on the forums.

Really can't wait, it seems like this day would never come!!!!! This is going to be an exciting draft.

Prepare for disappointment
It's BB doing the drafting
Nothing is as you'd expect

I'm ready for the draft, I'll be watching the Bruins game. They botched it having it this late, NBA and NHL playoffs will cut into it.
