Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

The Dolphins and the Titans were both pursuing Stallworth, "but he wanted to play with Tom Brady," says Titans coach Jeff Fisher. "Who can blame him?"

This part brought a smile to my face. You're damn right Fisher!! :D

This is the part that made me smile :

"as Stallworth was meeting in Foxborough with Pats officials, the texts to Rosenhaus revealed a man whose mind was made up. I want to be here. Let's get it done. I don't want to leave here without a contract."

:)

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

I thought the categorization of the Colts, Pats and Chargers as 1A, 1B, and 1C is accurate. As simple as that sounds, that's the first time I've seen that point made. Watch out, Colts and Chargers.

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

I really hope Stallworth earns his options and continues to be a Patriot past 07.

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

Awesome read. It's amazing how much things have changed over the last 10 years.

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

Geez, what a coincidence, Brady happens to be in the same resturant that Stallworth is having dinner at. Tricky BB, very tricky...

Me too. Kind of makes me want to go back and find all those "F** him if he doesn't want to be here" posts.

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

I heard about the option after the first year for stallworth but I didn't hear about the roster bonuses, great idea, every game he misses he loses 100 grand, good incentive to lay off the blow or whatever he's on.

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

Wow.

I never would have guessed that Peter King, of all people, would be the first to write, at length, about how the Pats' signings this off-season hasn't signified a "spending spree" or any sort of departure from their usual free-agent philosophy.

Wasn't he supposedly in Paris at the time?

"Hi Donte... just wanted to say Hi and let you know that I took a break from boinking a Supermodel to take a quick TransAtlantic flight back to Boston to personally let you know how much I hope you'll agree to catch touchdown passes from me and win another Super Bowl.

By the way, try the creme brule - it's great."

Wonder what restaurant it was....

Creme brule ... niceeeee

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

Oy. I hate these jinxes. I'd rather fly under the radar.

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

Good, sensible article. I didn't know they still made those.

Re: Peter King:All Roads Lead to Foxborough

At the end of last season the Colts, Patriots and Chargers were 1A, 1B and 1C in the conference -- the Pats just as easily could have lost the divisional playoff game in San Diego or won the conference title showdown at Indy.

Cf, BelichickFan's words of February ... in my sig since then.

And made so well.

That was a great article and should be required reding for some of the whiny fans of other franchises who are accusing us of going along with the crowd with a free agency spree.

BTW did you see her on the cover of the Vicky Secrets swimsuit catalog this week? A friend of mine, has long believed that Brady sold his soul to the devil. This latest girlfriend is making it very hard to defend that assumtion.
