It's been almost a week, anyone having issues?

I have tried it on IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and mobile (using Chrome.) Works great on all of them, but I recently downloaded Opera and I love it. It's faster than all of the other browsers - not just the site, but in general. At least on Windows 8.
If you haven't done so already, get Windows 8.1 (free update) from the Windows store, it's even faster than 8 and makes it generally better.

Yeah. I should have said 8.1. It's awesome. All of the browsers are faster than they were in Windows 7, but I find Opera to be absurdly fast.

still cant login under Keyser Söze. Might have to kiss that name good bye it seems.

Apologies if that has been covered but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. When I hover over links I get white type on a white background. Example:

I use Macs at home and at work and I get this in both locations (3 different machines). Thanks.

I checked, it is still: Keyser Söze

Are you able to request to reset your password?

Interesting. I'll check into that.

I've been vocal here against this one new aspect of an otherwise great upgrade to the Board.

I think that your comment, though, is a reasonable one.

While my personal preference would be to stick with the prior rubric that only allowed positive feedback, I would be comfortable with a compromise that limited the feedback to "Agree" and "Disagree" or "Like" and "Dislike"...as long as it is not anonymous and the person who applies a negative rating is identified by name in the post itself and can't lurk.

However, I will continue to speak against the inclusion of "Dumb" or "Bad Spelling." While I am someone who is a fanatic about spelling and grammar (I spel and write good in three languages :) ) and who has been called many things, but never "Dumb," I just think that these categories are too "personal" and have the potential to change the tone of our community. I find a lot of comments out here that I think are "dumb," but I either just ignore them or reply on the facts; and I could spend all day dinging posts that had misspelled words or bad grammar.

But you won't. Again, we often see posts written to criticize grammar. I think a rating to say the same thing would be better. Same with dumb. If someone is going to call a post dumb, I'd rather they do it by clicking a rating that by typing a rant.
I think you are expecting a massive wave or dumb and bad grammar ratings where I see it as different experession that replaces a post that clogs the board.

the thing is Ian, I'm 110% sure my pw for that name is right. i've tried getting the request to reset pw 20 times to my email and nothing has should up. At this point I don't know.

I might agree with that as long as the poster giving the "dumb" or "bad spelling" rating is identified as the person giving the rating; what I am really against is anonymity in assigning the ratings.

I actually removed a bunch of them including the "dumb" one a couple of days ago, as well as the bad spelling, etc. Hopefully the ones we have work for everyone now
Thanks. My bad for not having noticed that. That was, indeed, "Dumb" of me. :)

The anonymity is gone. To the right of the ratings totals (i.e. 4 people liked this post) is a link that says "list". If you hit it, it pulls up a breakdown of who clicked what. Also, at the top right, where it has your name, inbox and alerts, you can hold the mouse over your name, and you'll see where it says ratings received. By clicking on that, you get a full history of what ratings you've gotten, and from whom.

I hope I explained this clearly enough to help. If not, my apologies.

I get the same thing, identical to your screen shot, on a Windows PC using Chrome (not sure about Firefox and IE). Not really an issue per se, but it is a bit of an odd annoyance.

No worries - I'll be fixing that tomorrow when I'm off :D

Just sent you a message via the private "conversation" panel on this. Let me know if you're all set.

Thanks. That's clear, but it wasn't before I read your post. Ian was very responsive and addressed the concerns that some of us had voiced (even before some of us noticed that he had done so!).

Found an issue...in my sig, the middle line of the three lines should be bolded. I went in and tagged the line with the tag but it doesn't show that line bolded. Miniscule problem but it IS a bug I believe

It's bolded, but it's such a minor difference you're probably not seeing it, but it's rendering OK on my end :)

it IS a one step, almost imperceptible shade of darker grey. Had to focus to see it. OK...good enough Ian...NBD anyway
