There are several mocks and prospect rankings out there but we all know at least a few curve balls will be thrown even in round 1. How about you name 1 that you think could happen?

The person who correctly names the biggest surprise wins and gets a lifetime supply of likes from me! :D

My surprise prediction. The Patriots select a QB @ 29. Probably Bridgewater.

Also only 1 pick per person and you can't have the same exact pick as someone else.

Austin Sefarian-Jenkins to the Dolphins at #19. TE's are a coveted commodity and this draft is weak at TE so the Fish go after Sefarian-Jenkins higher than everyone has him ranked.

Jets draft another QB in the 1st or 2nd round.

Bitonio goes to New England at 29 or Seattle at 32.

The Rams will draft Johnny Manziel.

Makes sense, I don't know how much patience Rams fans still have left on the tank, Sam Bustford sucks. Sanchez is probably better than him.

Patriots draft Austin Wentworth G/T Fresno State the 3ooth rated player with the 29th pick.

This TE class is one of the best if not the best in the last decade. That aside your prediction for ASJ does not seem out of the realm of possible.

Aaron Donald goes #6 to Atlanta.

With Clay, Sims, and Egnew all chosen in the last 3 drafts not to mention they have much bigger needs at OL, DL, and CB

Seattle @ 32 wouldn't surprise me. Pats at 29 however would be a bit of a shock. He is a good player but not a super high need.

Drafting a Guard helps fill the Center need.

Bitonio could allow either Mankins or Connolly to slide to Center, even Bitonio could come in as a rookie and possibly start there.

An interior OL group of: Mankins, Connolly, Wendell/Cave, Bitonio, Kline & Cannon has a lot of depth and versatility to it (Mankins, Bitonio & Cannon can all play Tackle, for example).

He could do with adding a good 10-15lbs, though.

Pats take Jeremiah Attaochu at 29.

Great idea for a thread. Of course, where the Patriots are concerned, it's hard to say what's "surprising" -- BB is so predictably contrarian.

So I'll say that it would be a HUGE surprise if the Patriots take the player Mel Kiper predicts they will (currently Rashede Hageman).

For those of you who disagree with my post about this tight end class please show me a tight end class in the last decade that had a top 10 with more potential than this one?
  1. Eric Ebron
  2. Jace Amaro
  3. Austin Seferian-Jenkins
  4. Troy Niklas
  5. C.J. Fiedorowicz
  6. Colt Lyerla
  7. Arthur Lynch
  8. Jake Murphy
  9. Joe Don Duncan
  10. Crockett Gillmore

Oakland trades up from number 5 to 1 and Johnny Manzel is the first player picked. Don't agree with the move but Oakland has a lot of salary cap money to do it.
