Given Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of the NFL I would have to say he is the #1 Patriots coach.

Well there's only one Super Bowl Champion on that list... so the answer is obviously Carroll......

I voted for Rod Rust as well. Nobody else even comes close. He had the greatest football mind imaginable, only to be screwed over by poor ownership and management. :rocker:

I love how most do not notice it is April fool's day and say Belichick

Well it's not 4/1 anymore where I am right now. Been April 2nd for 9 hours now :)

Where's Raymond Berry (other than BB)? He'd get my vote.

LOL, I did not see this poll until April 2nd and wondered why it was even here. Of course, I am the same dolt who fell for one brother calling me last night to tell me the other was getting a divorce. That would be the same brother whose children called me last year and told me he fell down the stairs and was talking funny and they did not know what to do. I always tell my kids that I have the word SUCKA tattooed in invisible ink across my forehead...

Never forget one year when I was 5 or 6 years old. We were living in Maine... I woke my dad up at 5:30am and told him there was a moose in our backyard. He came rushing into my bedroom to the window, and I said, "April Fools!"

I thought he was gonna kill me. LOL

I agree with whoever mentioned Ray Berry... also, what about Chuck Fairbanks?!?! He actually transformed the Pats in the 70's from pretenders to contenders.

No Bill Parcells on that list either....
Big omission :)

Well you see, Sparky, I was hoping more people would catch on it was a joke since not only did I leave out Belichick, but the other two coaches who took the team to the SB, as well as Mike Holovak who got us to the '63 AFL title game. I left off Fairbanks too since he was arguably the team's best coach of the '70s. ;)

Admittedly I should've done this right away yesterday morning to emphasize the April Fools thing, but then I decided to not do it after all. But then I decided to do it after all. But not until last night.

I've been thinking about doing this prank for years; and in fact I think one year I even announced a few days after 4/1 that I had plotted it but never actually carried it out. But this weekend I heard a blip on BSPN Radio about how the kids today have no idea how one team that is awful now used to be really good (can't remember who he was talking about,) and then he said too, kids today have no idea that the Patriots and Colts used to be awful. He then mentioned how in '91 both teams went 1-15. Though I think that's not right because two teams in the same division could not both have that record in the same year.

does this question even need to be asked? Its Clive Rush hands down

You're sort of the John Kerry of pranksters, then. LOL

Since you left out Mike Holovak, Parcells, Fairbanks and Berry, I'm going to consider that a bizarro list and select Clive Rush.

Clive Rush was headed to the Hall of Fame before he was electrocuted:eek:

or before he drafted a dead guy with his first first round pick. I don't know if he was electrocuted before or after the draft though
