Teddy Bridgewater visiting Patriots on Wednesday

It's on, baby.

Actually this is a good move as Bridgewater could go anywhere from #10 to #45 at this point.

Nobody knows where a QB goes.
Manziel, Bortles, Bridgewater... none of the 3 should be too comfortable about their stock. We've seen a lot of crazy things happen with QBs.

Carr could go before one of them too. Who knows? GMs make the calls, not blind speculators.

I think Carr goes before both Manziel and Bridgewater. Cleveland and Oakland both really like him so I can see him going #4 or #5. If TB doesn't love Bridgewater at #7 I think he could be in for quite a fall and I really can't see a fit for Manziel. I actually think 1 team that would make sense for him is Cinci in the early 20's. They don't love Dalton and they have the pieces to be able to build an offense around Manziel.

Book it! Pick #29!!

LOL I think it's a smokescreen.

Hmm, I doubt it happens, but man..I would love, LOVE for the Pats to get him. I live 3-4 miles from Louisville. The kid is a class act and very polished pocket passer. I would not mind seeing them spend the 29th on him at ALL! Just my opinion.

I think all these visits makes it less likely they'll take a QB this year.

I think they'll be in a position to target either McCarron or Murray. Whether or not they actually pick either guy would be anybody's guess. But, between these two coming in and the Pats contact with Kenny Guiton, where there's smoke, there's gotta be fire.

I kind of like jimmy garrapolo, he'd fit in with a west coast style offense like ours.

BB: "See what's like to play for a big franchise? Now go get drafted by the Jaguars. Kiss the rings."

The pats have to start thinking about a qb, especially if they can't resign Mallett. Brady is on the back nine and a potential QB will need a few years to get familiar with our offense. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats spend a draft pick on a QB.

Worked out Keith Wenning too (and Blake Bortles).

In all seriousness they may be looking at the big name top of draft guys to give them a comparative benchmark for evaluating possible QBs that they could take in the late rounds to groom to be ready as a Mallet #2 QB replacement in 2015. Get a feel for the state of the talent fresh out of college.

In all honesty, if the pats feel they bridgewater is the next great QB and he falls to them at 29, they have to draft him...regardless of how many years brady has left. This is what indy did when they dumpd manning and took luck. I'm not advocating that brady get traded, but rather let bridgewater to be his backup for a few years like rodgers was to favre.

If teddy bridgewater is not taken by the Vikings at 8, there is a good shot he'll slide out of round 1. No team after he vikings really need a QB.

Tennessee @ #11
Cleveland @ #26

Lots of good ideas, and I also think ideally the Pats would prefer that every QB in the draft got taken before their pick. So, give the rumor mill an extra bit of momentum and hope it pushes a player at position you want down to you.

This works for me. Might push a team or two to draft a QB in round 1 if they think NE will take him before they get another chance in round 2.
