WR Michael Campanaro Wake Forest- best slot receiver in college football, love the way he plays the game. Great speed and shiftiness, good return man as well, and can run the ball out of the backfield. I know we have a lot of slot receivers but this guy has Patriot written all over him.

WR Jeff Janis Saginaw Valley St- big, fast receiver, has some Jordy Nelson in him. Excellent hands, team leader. One of the few division II players ever invited to the Senior Bowl and did not look out of place.

RB De'Anthony Thomas- I know he's very well known, but man is this guy explosive. His ranking has fallen down to the 5 th or 6th round, and it's because people are afraid of his lack of size, but man, give this guy 10 or 12 touches a game and he can do serious damage. Also a dangerous receiver and return man. I know we Vereen, but this guy is more explosive.

1. Kyle Fuller - My favourite prospect in the draft.

2. Jimmie Ward - Big fan. Good to see more and more people coming around on him.

3. Zach Kerr - I don't know if he'll make it but I see a lot of potential there for a NT. Great swim move and plus athleticism.

4. Terrence Fede - Chandler Jones v2. There are pronounced similarities between Jones and Fede from playing style, size and length to athletic testing. It's hard to separate the two.

5. Lorenzo Taliaferro - Surprising athleticism and ability as a receiver for a RB of his size.

6. Kenny Guiton - Very underrated QB prospect. Plus character and intelligence and a skillset as good as a number of QBs that are expecting to be drafted.

7. Joe Clancy - QB from Merrimack who might not be more than a camp body but I genuinely think he has a chance of making a roster.

The below should be on the list but I'm not sure they qualify as binkies.

Antone Exum
ASJ
Stephon Tuitt
Kevin Pierre-Louis
Jordan Tripp

Ryan Shazier is my binky. While everyone is clamoring for a DL in the early parts of the draft, I want an instant impact player who will see playing time and make the team better in 2014, forget the beyond.

Shazier gives the Patriots a sideline to sideline LB in the LaVonte David/Bobby Wagner mold. He provides insurance as a capable starter in case Mayo/Collins/Hightower get hurt. He would allow the team to use Collins and Hightower in more flexible ways, including in pass rush packages. He can step in immediately as a core special teamer.

Also, the Patirots might be able to move down in the draft, pick up an extra 3rd or 4th, and get Shazier in the middle of the second round.

Mr C.J. Fiedorowicz (TE, Iowa)

(Only one binkie, Mike?)

Well, since you're offering, I'll add:

DT Daniel McCullers (Tennessee) in honour of the Great Mackenzie

and I'd be very happy to see the Patriots draft:

RB Andre Williams (BC)

CJ Fiedorowicz TE
Marcus Lucas WR
AJ McCarron QB
and thanks to this board...Terrence Fede DE

Ok, I have to add Dri Archer RB Kent State. We found one stud from Kent State (Edelman), why not another. Small but strong for his size, and had Deion Sanders/Randy Moss type of speed. Good receiver and great return man as well. Even played some CB.

1. Aaron Donald - My favourite prospect in the draft.

2. Dominique Easley - My second favorite prospect in the draft.

3. Christian Jones.

4. Jordan Tripp.

5. Antone Exum.

6. Terrance Fede. Great size, raw athleticism, and productivity (albeit at the FCS level).

I agree.....

What the ***** is a Binkie? Tell me and I'll answer

1. Kyle Fuller - My favourite prospect in the draft.

I love Fuller and considering it could be a one and done for Revis I wouldn't have an issue spending a high pick on him.

I don't have a true binky this year. If the Pats hadn't gone out and picked up Revis and Browner I think Kyle Fuller and Phillip Gaines would be. Donald, Hageman, Campanaro, Justin Ellis are all right there. ASJ might be the one player that's there but given his injury and no combine numbers I can't pull the trigger.

If i have to pick one blinky its gonna be John Urschel. Position of need and probably the most insane Xs and Os guy comeing out this year.

- Trai Turner, OG LSU
- Jeff Janis, WR Saginaw Valley
- Matt Patchan, OT Boston College
- Michael Campanaro, WR Wake Forest
- Terrence Fede, DE Marist
- Zack Kerr, DT Delaware
- Carlos Fields, OLB Winston-Salem State
- Trey Burton, TE Florida
- DeRon Furr, LB/SS Fort Valley State
- Chris Boyd, WR Vanderbilt

Troy Niklas
Christian Jones
Exum
Ryan Shazier

I just posted about these 2 guys (and 3 others) I would love for you to read it and let me know if you think I have them pegged down right since they are your binkies.

As I mentioned on your thread, most of the guys you listed have been favorites of some time:

- Manx has been the primary champion of Kyle Fuller and Jimmy Ward. He has consistently called Fuller is favorite player in the entire draft, and Ward his favorite safety.
- Everlong was championing Phillip Gaines long before he blew up the Combine.
- Kontra has championed Dominique Easley, who has been extensively discussed.
- Trai Turner has also been discussed in detail, and is one of the favorite day 3 interior OL prospects on the board.

I've got it narrowed down to about 60 Binkies.

I'll, uh...have to get back to you.

Albert Wilson, WR/KR/RB, Georgia State

---He has the metrics and the all-purpose production with a RB physique that stands among the best receivers in the draft.
---He has shown an upward trajectory in production when facing tougher competition (GSU moved from FCS-CAA to FBS-Sun Belt)
---Produce even with subpar quarterbacking (5 QBs in 4 years) on an mismanaged FBS startup program (1-22 two-year record).
---Almost single-handedly won our games versus Troy and Ark. State
---Showed hustle and a "Troy Brown/Ben Watson" moment in the Arkansas State game. http://www.youtube.com/v/ZT2z-6NVR-o?version=3&start=190&end=224&autoplay=0&hl=en_US&rel=0

Being a Patriot means talent, versatility, hustle, and heart.

Albert Wilson has all of that and he needs to be here with others that value those sentiments.

What the ***** is a Binkie? Tell me and I'll answer

A binky is a player whom you look at it, and think "Want."

It doesn't really matter if a binky fills a need or not. It doesn't really matter if a binky fits the scheme or not. It doesn't really matter if a binky will be available when the Pats pick or not. [Connor Barwin and Adam Seward are the patron saints of binkydom.]

As ayjackson put it years ago:

"you don't pick binkies; binkies pick you.....you're helpless as far as timing goes."

I can see it now . . .

Watch as a cantankerous Patriots fan chooses among dozens of potential draftees to find the one he has an irrational desire to see on his team . . . .

Tune in to ABC Mondays at 8 for The Binky! :p
