NFL reinstates Brandon Browner

He'd make a great safety opposite McCourty, and should be relatively affordable.

Sounds like Goodell's lawyers told ol' Rog the likely outcome of the threatened lawsuits. Now, for the obligatory:

Talib
Browner
Dennard
Arrington
Ryan

CB position covered

He does not seem like that type of guy BB and Kraft want to get involved with. I have to assume that they want Talib to test the waters and then sign him for less than the franchise tag. I hope they have not underestimated how desperate teams are for quality CBs....

Good, dilutes the market for Talib.

Sounds really stupid (naturally). Apparently Goodell will try any stupid ploy, so bring a lawyer to camp with you, he'll back down.

Brandon Browner’s agent says he will sue NFL over indefinite suspension | Seahawks | The Seattle Times

Nobody is going to give Browner more than a 1 year prove deal. I actually hope that team is the Patriots, I like Browner as a player.

As a person he is sort of a douche but on a short leash why not, low risk high reward.

I think he would be an excellent fit here, mainly because I expect he will only see an offer for 1 years and short money. As a player I like he could give us a lot of versatility, first and foremost he is a great backup for Talib, second he could as you said start opposite McCourty, and third I would love him as the hybrid S/LB in coverage against tight ends.

Fixed your list, at least according to Patsfans.

I wonder what kind of $ Browner will get... Would love to have him at cheap money.

If the Seahawks drop him, he should come cheap. I would love to see him rocking the Flying Elvis. I would love it even more if the team signed him while retaining Talib.

I always thought Browner was overrated, but I'd take him if the money's right.

I am a Hawks fan and he is a little overrated as a pure cover guy. Browner was one of my favorite players. Very good tackler/blocker and can play physical with anyone. The guy generates turnovers.

He can get toasted by a good route runner assuming he didn't just toss the WR like a rag doll to the ground or completely off his path.

My issues with Browner is his brain. The guy was caught using Adderall in 2012, suspended and was under the very close scrutiny of drug tests that follows, yet he STILL hit the cheebie in a year that his team had a good chance to make it to the Super Bowl. This in a contract year. I would not doubt it if he did it again.

He also fits perfectly in the Seahawks system, I am not convinced at all that he would be anywhere nearly as effective on another team. He should come very cheap though and can really do some damage to the bigger receivers and TEs. The dude is very long and gets his hands on the ball. It helps when Sherman is in the other side I am sure.

A coach like BB could reign him in and get production out of him if they actually made a small deal.
