wes wont be like this:

Newly signed by the Patriots, receiver Donté Stallworth said he had no problems with the Eagles' coaching staff last season. He added that he realized his off-the-field approach had to change after some veteran players told him it was creating a perception that he didn't care.
-- Philadelphia Inquirer

If Stallworth's biggest transgression was the perception that he didn't care, and he admits that he has to change his off-field behavior, then I'm even more excited to have him in the fold.

i couldnt tell you i just read that on cnnsi truth or romours

no seriously thats really funny, you think i dont know our QB situation is a joke? you better realize we Dolphin fans understand if we want to ever get back to be the best in the AFC East we will need to get a QB

There were no indications Stallworth had any problems with Philly last year.

I think he was talking about some advice he got in NO perhaps too late to salvage a relationship with Payton who was intent in sending messages and changing the culture. He was occasionally late to meetings and practices although according to the media there he was never a problem child per se and was well liked in the clubhouse. Maturity issues he may well be past. Now his issue will be consistency of focus, which to some extent every player has to deal with, and staying healthy which many of our players have ample experience with. He should fit in no problem.

Read post #76.

Its EASY to argue that the bad return average wasn't Welker's fault. The team he was on was LOUSY on the blocking for kick returns as well as punt returns.

Its amazing what happens when facts enter into an argument.

Why are you being a wise a**. I think Welker will make a good punt returner but we won't really know until he tries because he did have a sub par year last year, for whatever reason. Never did I say it was all his fault.

Stallworth wasn't talking about Philly. In that quote he is actually talking about over a year ago, so that would put him on the Saints. Everyone in Philly said he was a good lockerroom guy. Stallworth also learned their playbook rather quickly, so I don't think his effort was a problem in Philly.

That's my point, there's no use in dredging up old news if there's newer evidence that contradicts it. People who want to see him fail - like Felger - should STFU until there's reason to believe that the Stallworth of 2+ years ago is more likely to show up than the Stallworth of last year.

Well, I guess the problem is YOU because I wasn't being a wise a**. Its been talked about ad nauseum and I didn't want to have to retype everything AGAIN because someone couldn't be bothered to read the other thread.

OH, btw, I never claimed that you said it was all his fault. However, when you sit there and say Welker had a bad average and you can't argue it, well, in fact, you can.

You can not sispute that for whatever reason Welker had a bad average.

You want FACTS. Welker ranked 28th on kickoff returns and 14th on punt returns.

I know you know these stats but don't act like when people say that Welker wasn't great on kick returns last year that they have no basis for that.

Bethel. Johnson. Indy. Breathe.

Ummm... not flaming you but you do realize that BJ and Wes aren't even close to the same type of player right? As a WR, all Bethel could do is run fly routes and run off the coverage. Wes is an underneath slot receiver who finds the hole in the zone and moves the chains. Also Wes is more of a PR, whereas Bethel is more of a KR. Besides, Bethel s*cks. Wes doesn't. :)
