Does anyone know what this is or where I could find it.. and any opinions on whether they could top this mark in '07?

It looks like that was including the playoffs. Which is an unfair comparison on the seasons they didn't goto the playoffs.

Since when do the playoffs not count? It's even harder to score in them.

It can't be used for comparison though. Three more games.

They did score the 3rd most points in the AFC, which is pretty good with inept receivers and an incompetent OC.:D

My goal here is to find the franchise high for points scored excluding the playoffs, because I suspect this team has the chance to break that, but that may be premature since I don't even know what the record is :)

Besides the inept WRs and incompetent OC, you're also forgetting the fact we had no #1 running back and our OL was inconsistent.

I guess our tight ends and QB were really really good.

These numbers coupled with having the 7th highest O in the NFL, might want to finally put aside Josh McDaniels sucks threads.

The highs scoring regular season Patriots team was 1980 with 441 points.

522 points in the 2004 season is the record. The second best is the 1996 season with 487. 2006 comes a close third with 480 on the year.

wait, wait, so in 2006 we scored the third highest point total and franchise history and also tied for the fewest points allowed in franchise history. Geeze, how did we NOT go to the Super Bowl?

For some reason I think our tightends weren't as good as they had the potential to be.

2007: yet to be ...
All points listed do not have Playoff #'s tabulated into them, only regular season scores....So:
The top 5 are:
1980-441 2004-437 1996-418 1961(afl)-413 1986-412

For some reason I think our tightends weren't as good as they had the potential to be.
Alright, then I guess our QB was absolutely perfect, if we were the #7 scoring offense despite:

(1) Inconsistent OL
(2) No true starting running back
(3) Disappointing TE play
(4) Terrible WRs
(5) Over-his-head OC

It's a good thing Brady never threw a bad ball, otherwise we'd be sunk!

It can't be used for comparison though. Three more games.

They did score the 3rd most points in the AFC, which is pretty good with inept receivers and an incompetent OC.:D

You mean the Pats didn't make the playoffs in 2004 and 2005?
