He did the Sporting News preview this year and it's interesting to say the least.

Carriker - 7th best DE, 2nd or 3rd round.
Siler - 9th best ILB, 5th round.
Houston - 13th best CB, 4th round (although he did say he could be drafted higher).
Griffin - 13th best Safety, 4th round. Yow.

He also like Rouse a lot.

I will admit I am intrigued having a source that's out of the box and not regurgitating what everyone else says - but does this guy have a good reputation ?

id be interested to see who he ranks higher then these guys...link?

Just saw he has Kevin Kolb as the #2 QB with Quinn #3 and a 3rd round talent (the round is what he thinks the talent is, not a projection on where he'll go).

IN his mock he has us taking:

#24 Paul Poluzny(sp)
#39 Tony Ugoh OT

Interesting.

Yes, his ranking differs quite a bit from others,so far. But that is why I like looking at more than one or two sources. I want to see if there is a consensus or if someone has a different take on some players.

Also, I can become totally confused by draft day, which is my normal state.

There is a consensus that Patrick Willis is awesome.

His "history' as a scout is on the first page.

I will be very happy to draft these guys in these rounds. Very happy. And I don't even have Siler or Houston on my draft board. Very happy.

Yeah, his credtentials seem solid. Most of the guys we've been talking about have a pretty good consensus but the ones I listed from TSN's magazine certainly were eyebrow raising.

He does have me intrigued by Aaron Rouse although most seem to talk about him as if he were Tebucky Jones.

Lande wrote the "official" profiles for NFL.com last year. They were littered with repetitive criticisms such as "it was extremely frustrating watching this player", so that the profiles became almost comical. Some of his profiles were actually based on tape from the prior season (IOW, senior profiles were from junior tape). I know Lande was once a professional scout, and his opinions are always interesting.
