Stallworth says Branch recommended Patriots

Yeah,nice praise

He probably figured it's the least he could do after the debacle last year and him telling Javon Walker to not sign with the Pats.

Stallworth is 26 and says, "I mean, I'm getting old, man." That must make me Methuselah.

Well well. My opinion of Branch has gone back to the good side.

It's quite a change of heart from last year.

Wish I could say the same. It's nice of him to recommend the pats, but he still hurt the franchise for a year

That's one year where we almost went to the Super Bowl. We've already won three of them, one where he came up big. Now, he's helped us get a burner at wideout through a good recommendation.

So? I respect Branch as a player and what he did while with the pats, but I don't have to like him or feel like he has made "kissy kissy" by making a recommenation. Sorry, IMO.

Relax, he's talking about "football age". Those guys have a very short shelf life. But I hope Stallworth has some mileage left in him. WRs can usually last longer the RBs, although one vicious hit across the middle can change all that in a hurry.

Which reminds me: how's Rodney doing these days?

I saw the article headline on the homepage and had to look twice.

Oh, well, that's nice he recommended the Pats, but why on earth didn't he take his own advice last year?

Branch probably recommended Tom Brady. As in, "Do you want to play with a guy who wins Super Bowls, hits good lookin' Brazilian chicks on slant patterns, and will toss it your way every time you're open."

Yeah, that would be a logical recommendation.

maybe Deion's having second thoughts about his move...or maybe he's just being a class act...

Deion will waste the next 5 years in Seattle and ruin what could've been a very good career in New England. He'll be misused if used at all by a team that will never have its sh** together.

Have fun in Seattle Deion, we'll keep on winning.

Branch still has negative brownie points in my book and his agent is far from being in the positives. I don't think Stallworth could be swayed a great deal by the words of Branch and I doubt Branch had nothing negative to inject into the conversation. I guess we will never know. What I do know is that the Pats had a whole lot of money to spend and any free agent would be smart to say that he would love to play for the Pats or even the 49ers.
