Prosecutors say former NFL safety Darren Sharper, who has been charged with raping and drugging women in California, is under investigation in connection with five more rapes and 11 druggings in other states.

Sharper appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday but his arraignment was postponed until Feb. 20 at the request of his lawyers.

Prosecutors immediately filed a motion to raise his bail to $10 million and outlined details of other alleged assaults and druggings in Las Vegas, Tempe, Ariz., and New Orleans.

As for Sharper, it'll be interesting to see what his defense comes up with. (All the women were gold diggers and it was consensual. Yeah, that's it. )

I would consider raping innocent women much worse than what Hernandez did. Not to diminish the loss of Odin Lloyd's life but my impression is he knew exactly the type of circle he was rolling with and the risks associated with it.

Hernandez and his circle were outlaws, that lifestyle lives outside of the laws that the general public follow.

“Darren has been suspended without pay until further notice, effective immediately,” NFL Network said in a statement issued to PFT. “Regarding the charges, as a matter of policy, we don’t comment on pending legal action.”

Sharper, who spent 14 years with the Packers, Vikings, and Saints, has been working as an analyst for NFL Network.

Free on $200,000 bail, Sharper reportedly faces allegations involving two incidents — one in October 2013 and one in January 2014.

And yet, when the Patriot's cut Hernandez after he was arrested, the Patriots were accused of "panicking" and "in full P.R. mode".

The celerity in which the Patriots cut Hernandez was even offered up as proof that the Patriots had to already know that Hernandez was a tattoo away from becoming a gangsta serial killer himself.
