On Sportscenter, Clayton reported that Troy Brown will NOT retire, but may go to another team.

I had been expecting Troy to retire, and would love to have him back.

The thought of him going to another team makes my stomach turn.

sounds like a load of crap to me.

why would he want to do that?

Honestly, if it was me, after playing that long i wouldn't want to move to another team and go through the b.s. of moving all my crap and my family. He should have plenty of money and rings.

Unless there was a team in Hawaii interested i wouldn't understand.

Clearly his plan is to go over to the Giants when Belichick & Pioli defect.

Maybe he knows that he will have a time time making this team and getting significant playing time with all the additions at WR.

This thread has been up for an hour and no one's mentioned the Mangenius and the Jests yet?? You're slipping guys.

It doesn't surprise me if he wants to play another season. Welker was brought in to do what Troy does, other WR are in . . . like it or not, Belichick has moved on like he has with other older players.

I thought Pete Carroll and USC were the high bidder for his services - my bad

you have to make tough cuts welker is better than troy brown right now, th e celtics let the old gaurd stay on to long and look what theyve become, belicheck has to make a descion in the best interests of the team not troy brown

If Troy want to come back to the Patriots they will find a place for him. Kraft does not intervene in player decissions but he will on this just like he did last year.

Troy will be able to contribute 10 -12 big plays next year if his body lets him. Troy will be the first to say it's time to hang it up if he thinks he can't help the team.

I cant believe some of you are believing John "Keegs" Clayton.

:nono:

kraft does not get into football decsions and i dont believe he did last year that was all medai speculationns do you have proof he did that?

Well, it would be sad to see him play somewhere else. I hope the rumor is false and troy either retires or comes back in a smaller role.

Yes I do but I'm not showing it. Do you have proof that the sun didn't come up this morning?

Man it would suck to see him in green and white, or any other teams uni for that matter.

Yeah, I can imagine Kraft saying to Belichick "You have to take a guy on your roster, even if another guy can help your team more."

That's the Patriot way, right?

you dont have the proof thats why you wont say, and yes look outsude youll see the sun, bottom line kraft doesnt get involved with football decisions if he did im sure vineteriai would still be here, the lesson of my response , dont listen and believe everything the media says

Kraft may have gotten involved last year but that doesn't mean he will this year. Troy is another year older so he problaby has less to give than he did last year and Kraft might think it is his time to retire. Of course they could welcome him back as a coach.

i repeat again kraft doent tell belicheck who to play and sign, anybody who believes otherwise just doent get it

clayton is blowing smoke again. he's the peter gammons of nfl live. i mean really. how many times is he right.

Pats WR's are whom?

Stallworth
Welker
Caldwell

I'd say those 3 are locks.

Washington
Gaffney

I'd say those two are sure bets, which leaves who left?

Chad Jackson - IR/PUP/ will miss time one way or the other so forget him.
Kelvin Kight
Troy Brown
Bam Childress

Assuming they keep 6 WR's, Troy Brown could easily be the 6th player. He'd have to play gunner on the Punt team.
