Personally, if he does tend to avoid media microphones and cameras (I don't remember seeing/hearing much from him) then the reaction makes sense. The bit about not being a bridge to the fans doesn't add up. However, if he really is uncomfortable in public, then the speaking out today makes sense.

I love this guy as a player, his aversion of the camera is quite refreshing. "I'm all about that action, boss."

I think you're totally wrong and don't understand the condition. It's clear that Lynch has some form of social anxiety which I, and I'm sure many others fully understand and can fully relate to. I wish the media and narrow minded fans that think this is an act would leave him alone.

Some people don't like public speaking. It's not a huge deal until you have to do it (such as in the event of playing in a Super Bowl). He did what he had to do in order to avoid a fine. It was really funny reading some of Breer's tweets about it yesterday and reading Colin Kaepernick's "LOL" response to him. Not sure how not wanting to or being comfortable with public speaking makes one a "me first" player, but there you have it.

Marshawn Lynch is not a Patriot type of guy. He is dumb peice of crap and just because he does not like the media does not make him our kinda guy.

The guy has been quoted as saying "F*** Bruschi" and this was not on the field this was in a locker room between the week years after Bru had retired. It was unprovoked and was said as he walked past an interview with a teamate Derrick Coleman who was being asked about positive comments Bruschi had about Coleman.

I used to like Marshawn but if you say things like that about one of the 2 or 3 favorite players of all time than I no longer like you.

If I was a player, I wouldn't want to answer all the questions athletes get today. You pretty much have to hire a PR trainer to help you know how to deal with the questions. Either that or do like BB and say "we aren't going to talk about that." If you're an athlete, you don't want to say anything that could come back to bite you, you want sponsors if you can get them. The media and entertainment industry will crush your image if you say the wrong thing. You can't really afford to say what you believe, you have to know how to dodge certain questions.

The comment was made when he was in Seattle but I would assume the opinion was made during his time in Buffalo. I think their careers over lapped for a year or two. It does make me wonder what Bru did to make Marshawn feel that way but I got Bru's back.

As would I, but I'm not exactly shocked and disgusted that a physical, downhill runner would say that about a ILB that he used to go head up against. Add in the fact that said ILB's team used to beat Lynch's team all the time and I'm not about to stop the presses. It's football. These two have probably said worse about one another's sexuality, for example, on the field.

The things he says, the way he acts and carries himself. Doesn't seem like a very likable guy. Compare to someone other former Pats (and there's a million of them in the media) like Willie Mac who I think is awesome.

Agreed, there a lot of people who hate public speaking and get a lot of undue stress from it. There are players like Sproles, Bo Jackson that have stuttering issues as well. These are players not orators, if they don't want to speak in front of a large group they should not be fined.
