But it did ocur to me the other day, that for a guy with as big an ego as Borges, just this well publicized early gaff of his might have stuck in his craw more than we realize. This could very well be one of the significant things that make him so anti-Patriot.

It has been often mentioned here and other places also that Borges had an inside track with Bledsoe and probably the jetisoning of Bledsoe may be another item high on his list.

BB was despised by the Cleveland media and Borges decided that he would be the one to continue the animosity once BB arrived in NE. Basically, Borges made a bet that BB would implode in NE and thus positioned his rants in order to take first credit if BB's demise ever occurred. Same tactic he has used with his draft venom. History has shown how Wrong Borges has been.

Really, I don't blame Borges for voicing his opinion at the time. We all do. The sad part of this is that to this day, Borges believes that he was right and Belichick was wrong, and that Belichick happened to get lucky.

I think the funniest thing about this quote is that I heard him on a radio show a couple years back and a caller asked if he will admit he was wrong on that quote. He said no because he was "right at the time" he wrote this. Huh?!?


So eventhough Seymour is an elite player and three of the four players he thought we should have gotten are out of football and the other just got cut from the team that drafted him, he was right at the time. Considering Matt Light took two games to start for the Pats, I guess he was right about him for a good three or four months.

Thanks for bringing this back. Everybody has been wrong about players they liked. I'm still waiting for Adrian Klemm to get healthy, becasue when he does, I AM SURE, he'll beat out Matt Light so he can move to LG and get to the Pro Bowl.
