Interesting list came out today from footballperspective.com. They used a statistical method that accounted for TD's, INT's, and sacks then adjusted for era, opponent defense, and placed higher weight on championship and SB games.

The list:
1. Montana
2. Bradshaw
3. Manning
4. Warner
5. Favre
6. Aikman
7. Stabler
8. Brees
9. Young
10. Plunkett
11. Brady

The Best Playoff Quarterbacks In The Super Bowl Era

I assumed #3 was Eli but, it's Peyton LOL. Clearly something is wrong with this operation.

I have no respect for any list that doesn't have Brady in the top 5.

"Bradshaw’s regular season numbers were good but not great" OK we're done here.

Because of 2 F..ing plays Brady isn't leading with a huge distance to the second.

Give any of those QBs equal weapons and I would take Brady over any of those other QBs

A pointless statistic formula that really measures nothing of consequence

I didn't really follow the stupid formula, but they ranked the 2007 SB as Brady's worst performance. That's right, over all three Ravens games, both Chargers games, 2005 Broncos, etc. Also contributing was the one and only Scott **** smear (now there's an unbiased observer, if you go to his twitter he's got a picture of Belichick with his face in his hands, yep, really neutral).

The list actually has the SB game vs the Giants as his 6th worst game but because it happened in the SB, it downgraded his score. According to the formula, a SB game is 3.14x more important than the average playoff game.

The formula measures nothing meaningful.

It's not Eli? there goes that list.

You can use stats to make the results come out any way you want. So, yes, by this particular formula, Brady is #11...which means that by this particular formula Brady is #11...in other words, it means...nothing.

I sure can't wait for the Draft, can you?

I have a better name for this thread title: Best QBs.

Playoffs is just a small sample size with overreaction all around. That and generally better competition and therefor lower success rate.

Down the bottom is the list of actual playoff records. Total wins (Brady), or percentage (Bart Starr with a decent amount of appearances IMO) I think (quick look)it's Brady Montana Bradshaw Aikman and Starr in some order. You may think differently.

Some formula besides wins is just stupid, you don't get style points.

That makes **** for sense. Super Bowl is likely going to be a tougher opponent than any other round.

Plus QBs get rewarded for not making the super bowl. That makes sense.

Thats what you get for going to trollsports.com for you information.

The formula adjusts for opponent defense so you get credit for facing a tough defense. The formula gives more weight to the Superbowl because its the most important game. Would you rather have a good performance in the wild card round or Superbowl?

In real life, or to do better in some made up formula?

You do realize that the only thing that matters is winning and they keep those records, right?

Are you going to stick around for the season, or are you strictly an after season troll?

what self respecting Patriots fans uses the derogatory "patties" in his handle?

the answer is NO Pats Fan....

it's a troll

I mentioned that when I called him out for having 56 posts after January having never posted before.

It's Patsies, get it right. This guy's just trolling around for any "statistics" that show Brady lagging so he can get under people's skin.

So patties is derogatory yet calling a team a patsy is not? What kind of logic do you have in your world.

pat·sy
[pat-see]
noun, plural pat·sies. Slang.
1.
a person who is easily swindled, deceived, coerced, persuaded, etc.; sucker.
2.
a person upon whom the blame for something falls; scapegoat; fall guy.
3.
a person who is the object of a joke, ridicule, or the like.

So why would calling yourself that be the right thing?
