I love how so many of the players' tweets will quote scripture and reference humility and thanks to God and Christ. And while Brady is more circumspect in discussing his faith, he and Gisele are very committed Catholics. Belichick has to feel that influence (or should I say "Influence") is a huge positive on the team both personally and professionally, or he wouldn't keep drafting and acquiring players who unabashedly walk that walk.

I don't think the number of religious (or even spiritual) players on the Patriots is higher than other teams on average. Football locker rooms are typically like that, and considering the high percentage of the normal US population that has some kind of similar belief, the fact that a number of players on a 53 man roster are confident about their belief shouldn't surprise anyone. Nor is it out of the ordinary.

I to love seeing when players praise God/Christ. They've been blessed and want the world to know their grateful. I'd say there are many players around the whole league that are big time followers of God/Christ not just Patriot players......unfortunately most of the media chooses not to show that side of the players to much.

If you feel a relationship w/ God shouldn't be portrayed while playing football I respect that opinion but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I always get a smile whenever a player starts his interview with "first and foremost I want to thank GOD"

And it seems logical that Tebow was signed at least partly because of that influence. Kraft respected his faith, as he said in an interview.

FYI, I didn't mean to say that NE is any more or less than other teams... just that I'm glad to see the faith represented there the way it is.

Same for me QB12(my friend). Only thing I would add is 49ers at least for me. As me and my family look forward to Patriots and 49ers football after Church. Brady went to Catholic school in his youth and holds his faith close to him even though he isn't the most outspoken about it. Brady and his family are devout Catholics.

Raised Catholic, went to Catholic school, married in the Catholic Church to another devout Catholic, went to meet the POPE for goodness sake, doesn't wear his faith on his sleeve, but certainly shows it through his actions with his wife and children and others in general (well, except when he's swearing at the rooks for another blown route assignment LOL).

I'm not a remotely religious person, and have various points of contention with organized religion that ultimately have nothing to do with religion itself. But I was raised a Catholic, and believe most religions, on the level of the individual, can be very instrumental in developing one's morality, accountability, and discipline, especially when one's home life while growing up is compromised. In terms of ideology, well, Jesus is just alright with me.

Just look at Kenbrell Thompkins' self-admitted transformation of his life. For him, religion has had a wonderful impact.

Some claim to be religious/part of a religion and some have a relationship w/ God.........there's a big difference I assure you.

True Christians are called to be leaders, humble, intelligent, peace-makers, respectful. I don't know about you but if I'm a coach I want my players to have those attributes

Okay, take out the 'devout'. Just go on the facts for Brady.

Facts: Brady raised Catholic, attended Catholic school, seriously dated two women both of whom are Catholic, married the second in a Catholic Church, baptized their son in the Catholic Church.

And you're saying this is evidence the Catholic faith means nothing to him? Oooooo-kay.
