If you could name 1 player in the NFL that deserves to win a Super Bowl Championship Ring and being on a Super Bowl Championship team who would it be and why?

The player MUST NOT be a player on the New England Patriots team present or past and must be a PLAYER currently on any NFL team Roster except ours.

If I had to pick one player its a tough choice but I go with Jason Taylor of Miami - The guy has been one of the best DE at his position for his entire career yet has not won a championship,Its a shame hes on the Dolphins cause I think he may not make it before he retires, definately deserves to win,hes a class act and an overachiever, does not have the big wide body and bulkiness of your average DE but plays just as hard and no Defensive player is faster off the LOS even at his age IMO.

Your thoughts?

Brian Urlacher or Carson Palmer.

If I had to pick one I would go with Drew Brees.

My pick before this year would have been easy, Marvin Harrison.

Now I think I'll go with Bucs K Matt Bryant simply because I know him personally.

Rex Grossman. Poor, poor Rex Grossman.

It's almost easier to decide who DOESN'T deserve to be a champion...

Jason Taylor is a good choice - throw in Zach Thomas too. My #1 choice would be Curtis Martin, but since he's a former Patriot I guess he's out.

I'd say Kevin Dyson (I think he's on the Redskins now) simply because coming up 1 yard short to win the Super Bowl still probably haunts him.

I pick Drew Bledsoe....i know he won that one with us way back and he was a former team member..but id love to see the guy win one as a starter...i dont really have another one, i like the taylor pick - and that one yar short one was rough luck...
i really like drew, he was sorta the QB i looked up to growing up (yeah im young)....had all his cards, jersey , everything...i guess you could count that one year (2001 was it?) but that was bradys trophy in all fairness...

Drew Bledsoe has a ring thats all that matters and he is eliminated from the question..You can do better - Come on think..I know Drew's former team partner might be a good one for you, - Terrell Owens, will that work for you as an answer? ;)

Brian Urlacher or Carson Palmer.

Brian Urlacher???? Are you kidding me???? He's not even the most deserving Chicago Bear. That would be either Mike Brown or Olin Kreutz. This is a tough question, and I may ruffle some feathers with my answer- Curtis Martin.

LOL if the topic of this was to pick one player who doesn't deserve a ring it would be Drew Bledsoe. That being said..

I'll pick Hasselback.

O man, excuse me. We obviously have someone here whose opinion matters more than everyone elses....

Please. This is my opinion, and Urlacher is one of my favorite players. So get off your high horse, Mr. "I-have-a-better-opinion-about-who-is-deserving-of-a-Super-Bowl-ring"...

I think you are not even the most deserving patriots fan, so you can't post here ....

Jason Taylor/Zach Thomas (imagine if they weren't Fins? The Pats could actually sweep them).

I did want Vinny T to get one but oh well.

Bledsoe disrespected the ring he DID get. So he's way down my list, even if he weren't disqualified by the rules of the question.

Jason Taylor/Zach Thomas are excellent choices, well-known as such to Pats fans.

Urlacher is another of those excellent, tough, yet clean players who is high on the list, with some bonus points for being in a specific long-standing tradition (Bear MLBs).

Champ Bailey just keeps getting better, and actually tackles people sometimes these days. So he should probably be on the list. Ditto Tony Gonzales, who eventually started blocking people.

Walter Jones is up there. And Will Shields -- uh, is he even still playing?

Lorenzo Neal? He's been on mainly lousy teams, and most recently a snake-bit one (Schottenheimer is an automatic snake-bite ...).

Warrick Dunn. Good things should happen to good people.

And Donovan McNabb.

Ed Hartwell:D Whatever team he plays for this year ;) I hope he wins one.

Despite the fact he plays for Miami, I would also go with Jason Taylor. My son, the Miami fan, would be very happy.

I thought Taylor first thing but #2 would have to be Steve McNair. Although I was sick of hearing what a "warrior" he was for playing hurt he does leave it all out there and the coming up a yard short against the Rams has to be in his psyche.

I've always like Tony Gonzalez - TE KC. Seems like a good guy and a great receiver.

Ed Reed - S. He's a great player. I think he gets overshadowed by playing on the same D as R. Lewis.
