All praise for Pats and BB by the pre game crew and he brings up Spygate as a scar on BB'a HOF career. Jack*ss.

Would like to stick a boomer in Boomer where the sun don't shine.

He's a phucking two faced Long Island born Jets fan. F him

And the moron says BB got caught spying on teams :bricks:
They filmed defensive signals from a spot where they weren't supposed to, the misconception continues by the mediots.

It shows that he is not logical and actually flawed as an analyst. What is worse, illegally going over the salary cap, or filming from the wrong location? Yet, how many times have heard about the salary cap issue?

Should have let this die in the game day thread. Really didnt need more attention than that.

That P'd me off. But I was also waiting for BBs' "Pal" , Cowher, to back him up, like he did, with little fanfare in the earliest days of BSgate

Over the last decade and a half nobody has been as in the Pats corner as much as Boomer.

He's right - their legacy is tarnished. What you or I might think about spygate doesn't matter, it happened and got handled the way it was handled and gave everyone a convenient excuse to handwave away our success in the early 2000s.

The only cure is more Super Bowl rings. I'm fine with that.

Aren't you a Jets fan?

Heh.

I'm still waiting for Vinnie to post his big expose about my posting on jetsinsider, he said I wouldn't want that to happen though. I'm just hoping he doesn't expose me!

If I were a chick, and you were a Jets fan, I'd still bang ya. Don't tell anyone.

Boomer was an utter pos for saying that. The name spy gate is wrong. Spying is when the person spied on was expecting privacy. The defensive signals were done out in the open in full view of the other team. They knew their signals were being looked at and analyzed. If anything it would be archive gate ie they were recording to better analyze later.

It was a douchebag, pro wrestling (a fake position to create balance) comment by Boomer. He knows, or should know, the details of the whole filming thing and its prevalence throughout the league prior to the Pats being busted. He was grandstanding and anyone who doesn't recognize that is too immature and infantile to know better. If you, or anyone else, thinks that winning another SB will eliminate the cheating talk, I don't know what to tell you, other than your naivete is only exceeded by your lack of real world experience.

Why ANYONE takes a person named "Boomer" seriously is beyond me. Especially since he won ONE more game than Marino - yet they both were HORRIBLE!! Ask the 49ers and Cowboys. Boomer was the Manning of HIS day - a QB who won NOTHING while piling up ALL the meaningless stats. The ONLY difference? Boomer's dad did not play in the NFL,

It won't eliminate it, at least not about the wins from 2001-2004, but it'll reduce the talk quite a bit. Sure there will always be people who say 'well they are probably still cheating just not get caught' *cough*every afc east fanboard*cough* but by and large it'll end the 'only won when they were taping defensive signals' talking point on the media level which is all I really care about.

Not sure what the real world experience comment was, but I guess I never miss a chance to be glib and snarky on a messageboard so who am I to throw stones about that.

I'll say this, it's naive to not accept that spygate is a blight on our franchise's past. You can call it camera-placement-gate. You can point out how we're a better offensive team than we were while we were taping defensive signals but nobody cares, because it is convenient and nothing is more fun than tearing down the successful.

Belichick, in his hubris or uncharacteristic stupidity gave all the naysayers all the ammunition they'd ever need to asterisk our first 3 trophies. It'll be a footnote in his and this team's legacy if they win another. If they don't people who don't like to recognize the amazing sustained success of this franchise will spend another decade pointing out that the Pats just couldn't get over the hump to win a superbowl without taping other teams.

The time to debate Spygate is long, long past. In the public's eyes it's a huge deal so it is a huge deal.

it was a stupid thing to say, its been 7 years, this is almost a completely different team. what a bunch of nonsense.

the last 7 seasons have show that spygate meant absolutely jack ****.

Since "Camera-location-gate" they have been to 2 superbowls, and 5 afc championship games.

Yep. Unfortunately, perception can be reality and that is true here.

We heard this stuff leading up to the Super Bowl in 2011 and we'll hear it again if they win next week. That's just the way it is. And yeah I agree that if they win another one in the Brady/BB era, this talk may not go away with haters but it will go away in the mainstream.

Now as for "hating on Boomer"... does anyone actually still believe that these shows aren't scripted? I mean even Shannon Sharpe called the Patriots the "gold standard team ". LOL cmon now. Boomer's comments were fed to him. Like everything else you hear on NFL Today or Countdown.

No joke, i have to have subtitles on when he talks.

He cracks me up on Twitter. Loves talking smack with Tebow fans...

I've always felt Boomer was a Patriots admirer for a long time ...

I still think that ... the man was speaking the truth ... it is a scar of perception ... so what.

I say now what I've said for a long time ... some here are too thin of skin.
