Please post your comments, knee jerk reactions, and insightful observations, both before and during tonight's playoff game between the Patriots and the Indy Colts, on this thread. Please do not start other threads about tonight's game.

Tonight's game is scheduled for an 8:15PM kickoff on CBS.

The weather will probably be a factor:Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 3am, then a slight chance of rain between 3am and 4am. Patchy fog before midnight. Low around 40. South wind 9 to 17 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 47 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Dobson has been ruled out of tonight's game with the rest of the inactives to be listed in about an hour.

Let's hope for a good game, with no injuries, and a Patriots victory.:rocker:

This could be nasty if the patriots can't get in rhythm on offense early.

The pats have to attack on both sides of the ball and destroy andrew luck with pressure.

If good game is code for a crushing Patriots victory sending shivers through the rest of the NFL then yes PATSNUTme, let's hope for a good game. :D

I'm already two beers in and reaching for a third, I'm so nervous. I hope I can stay awake!

Normally Saturday Night is Hockey Night in Canada (i.e. Monday Night Football -esque)...but tonight my team takes center stage.

Currently watching the Saints and can NOT WAIT until the boys hit the field...take your meds now!!!:D

Here we go baby, the countdown is on - PATRIOTS PLAYOFF FOOTBALL!! :rocker:

Already feeling the nerves and anxiety.

Let's gooo Pats :rocker:

I'm lousy at win/loss/score predictions, but I do seem to have a feel for the kind of win/loss. I'll go ahead and go on record with this: if the Pats win it will be exactly the sort of win you describe. Maybe not crushing on the scoreboard, but they'll have killed in some specific phase of the game - turnovers, rushing yards, starting field position, etc.

In the predictions thread I picked the Patriots to win 24-20. Truthfully, any win in the playoffs does me just fine.

One thing for sure is that BB will have a plan. If the Pats execute it, then we'll do okay. But, so much of football between two good teams is fortune -- will the pass be tipped into Talib's hands? Will the Colts fumble into our hands? Will a Pat for whatever reason make an amazing play that gives us points? At any rate, I'm just happy and amazed that this Pat's team made it this far. In some ways, this year feels a little like 2001.

It's the old cliché - 'Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity'. Both teams will make mistakes, but I think it's safe to say that the Patriots win so often because they are so well prepared to take fuller advantage of them.

Kinda nervous and kind of have a bad feeling. Hope it is just playoff jitters for myself as a fan.

Knowledge-based jitters; it'd have been nice to see another "cruise control" team, but that's not what we've got this year.

Obviously, I want to see the Pats win.

But this team has accomplished so much already that I'll be fine no matter what happens, as long as they come out swinging.

Deion Branch inactive.

Only thoughts I can think of: (1) "Intel." (2) Edelpersonation.

What is the weather like there? How hard is it raining? And how windy?

Glad to hear it. Didn't want to see Deion in a colts uniform.
