I swear to God, I know these guys are responsible for knowing ALL of the teams, whereas we're just focused on the one we root for, but if you're prepping a STORY that you and one other guy are doing - shouldn't you know the most basic facts?

Chad Scott is old, fine. Hobbs isn't. He's not even close to old. He is pretty much as far from old than any impact player on the Patriots. I need to get myself a job as a HOF DB and then retire to a job on NFLN. It's my only hope for sanity.

hhaha.. I heard the same thing to.. Actually he stumbled.. You could see on his face he made a mistake..
He is right though.. We need an injection of youth back there :)

I never hear Rod Woodson contributing anything of value when he opens his yap.

oh I heard it too. he said the pats secondary is aging with guys like scott and hobbs.

and later in the show he was asked who he thought would win the AFC east and he said the Phins.

He said that the Phins would win the division? Is he smoking CRACK?

I honestly give the Jets and Bills more of a chance to win the Division than the Dolphins....

They need a guy like **** Vermeil sitting in Rod Woodsons seat, the guy seems clueless.

I don't remeber who was on with him but the guy was as shocked as me to hear him say that and asked him again or did a double take.

Dude, it was a Friday night and it was his birthday. I'm sure his mind was on the single moms he would be donating money to later that evening.

the dolphins have an easy schedule....as for the jets, their harder schedule will expose them for the frauds they are, for making the playoffs last year..

the pats have an insane schedule though...but those teams are losing players so we could still see a great year, despite the difficult season

I heard it as well,

But at least he's not as bad as Eric Allen, he just hates the patriots,

He totally took L.T. 's side after we beat the chargers.

There still sore about oakland losing in 2001

Yeah, I heard this on the NFL network this morning as well. F'n ridiculous.

He made a mistake about Hobbs, big deal.

He didn't say the Fins would win the east. He was asked if the Pats didn't win it, who would be the most likely too. Thats a big difference than saying he was picking the Fins over the Pats.

Woodson is actually one of the better commentators, with interesting things to say.

And yes I know, they are not in our division...

The entire "state of the franchise" segment was laughable. The highlights from the season, for some reason, include only about 7 or 8 plays, one of them being a 4 yards catch by Chad Jackson. When it comes to breaking down tape, they didn;t use anyone's name, and the Pats had so much rotation in the defense I didn't know who was getting burned.

He also said that OL was a concern because Brady was sacked a lot. But according to a lot of people in the chatroom, OL is lowest on the priority list. What gives?

Yeah, especially if you care more about him being interesting than knowledgable.

Personally, I'd rather have him spend more time knowing about the players that being entertaining.

Phins? LMFAO.

The dolphins? what a frickin moron.

If anyone picked the Jets i would respect their opinion.. there is nothing wrong with making a prediction like that.

What i hate though is guys like Shaun Salisbury and Dan Marino who each pick 4 diff. choices to win each division on different tv, radio, etc. programs and then replay the clip of them being "correct" after it's all said and done.

They should just make that skinny college dude with the lisp a full time analyst.

I watched that segment twice, and this is what he said. Rod said Scott and Hobbs are old, but I think he meant Hawkins, which would make sense. Woodsen did not say the Dolphins were going to win the devision, he said he thought they could challenge the Patriots more than the other teams in the devision. really most of what he said was pretty accurate, and he used video to demonstrate how bad the safeties played last year. (Hawkins and Sanders were out of position a lot last year)
Woodson said Brady took a lot of hits last year, and the Patriots should get a better O-Linemen (I agree since Matt Light can be a turn style, at times). He also said NE needs more speed, and coverage skills at LB, and they need to build the secondary around Samuel. Woodson said adding Thomas was a great move and that he would bring some of the speed, and coverage skills needed, but they still need an ILB to groom under Bruschi. He liked the Wes Welker signing, thinks Randy Moss wouldn't fit NE's offense, because NE needs good route runners, and Moss isn't that good of a route runner. He also thinks Stallworth would be perfect for NE's offense.

He didn't say the phins would win the division!!!!!!

He was asked who could possibly challenge the pats in the division, and he picked the phins.
