As if this division wasn't easy enough,

Now the Bills loose, clement, fletcher, Mcgahee,

The Dolphins loose McMicheal who was a patriot killer along with Welker, and who cares about Harrington, Culpepper should be the starter anyways, at least they got Porter.

Our schedule may be tough this year, But at least the division is a wrap.

Oh yea those Jets with Thomas as their new back, well the bottom line is Pennington can't throw the ball more than 20 yards. They Should have gotton Garcia.

I think it's gonna be another year with six wins in this very weak division.:rocker: :singing:

It's difficult to argue against what you said about Buffalo and Miami. I do expect The Jest to be better but not their record. They only won one game against a team with a winning record, that was the horrible game we played against them. So I think The Jest will be better but still not that good as they were way overated at the end of last year.

Good post for the two first paragraphs.. BUT COME ON.. GARCIA over CHad??? Please..

I would say the dividion breaks down like this.

1 Pats - four years at the top I don't see signs of this stopping :rocker:
2 Jets - they made strides last year and with the addition of Thomas they are our touhest foe
3 Miami - Don't seem to be doing much but if Cullpeper bounces back they could suprise at the least they always play us tough and now we have to deal with their bookends taylor and porter.
4 Bills - I don't know what the hell they are trying to do and seem to be going the wrong direction by losing their best talent.

I wouldn't say that our division will be easy but it might be easier than the rest of our schedule and it will be even more key to dominate our division. If we continue to upgrade our team in the fashion we have so far than we should be a lock.

Pennington rating of 82.6 17 td's 16 picks

Garcia rating of 95.8 (Better Than Mcnabbs) 10 td's 2 picks

And Garcia Had That Team Playing as Well as any one in December and Janurary.

What is So Special about Pennington?

C'mon guys. Threads like this make me scratch my head in amazement. This isnt the 60's or 70's NFL anymore. This league yr. in and yr. out is completely unpredictable. We could easily on any given sunday lose a game to either of those teams. Not to mention, their is ALOT of time left in the offseason for these teams to add some more talent. I would wait for predictions like this until about one week before the season starts.

Even then however, you never know what's going to happen.

While the Bills did lose those things, they've also added. They might finally have a good O-line that doesn't allow 40+ sacks a year. This will help out their offense and their defense.

The Bills are rebuilding and I am sure they plan on signing or trading for a RB or two. But even a good O-line helps out a mediocre RB. Personally, I was very surprised they didn't make an attempt to sign Domenic Rhodes. However, they could make the attempt to trade for the rights to Michael Turner in a similar way that the Pats traded for Welker. They have the extra picks to do it.

Miami did lose McMichael and Welker. They've also cut Harrington, McIntosh, McKinney, Carter, James and traded away Wilkinson. Not to mention that Taylor and Thomas aren't getting any younger. The Phins are also in full re-building mode but I won't count them out yet. Cameron obviously likes Culpepper and has cleaned house. But there are still plenty of quality vets on the market and the Phins do have an extra 2nd round pick now.

Basically, its way too early to be passing evaluations and writing teams off. All one has to do is remember our own Pats of 2001. How many teams, playes and media pundits wrote us off before the draft? How many of them wrote us off after Bledsoe went down.

I am cautiosuly optimistic that the Pats will do well against them this year, but the season is still 6 months away, the draft hasn't happened and there is still a TON of prep work for teams to do.

I can't wait until the first week of the season, are you crazy.

I got Patriots Fever, now

I'm trying to find a way to make the day's go faster just to get to the nfl draft, which is my favorite day in the nfl.

but after that I got a long wait,

But when the first week comes, I'll be like Parcells, "I Reserve the right to change my mind"

But as it stands now 6 wins in the division

Teams with new coaches tend to regress in their first year. There are exceptions (obviously Groden and Dungy, Mangini last year), but those occur when the new coach makes minimal change to the roster.

Miami has purged its roster of some pretty significant players. Half their oline is gone. McMichael was maybe their 2nd best playmaker in the passing game. Welker was a solid slot guy as well as special teamer. Carter was a very good end in their 3-4 defense.

They will take a step back in 2007. However, watch them pull off a win against us. Their defense still has enough to give Brady fits.

As for Buffalo, I expect a step back, but not as significant a step as some are predicting. The Bills did plenty to upgrade their secondary last draft (Whitner, Simpson, Youbuti). Playing in a Tampa 2 scheme, they don't necessarily need an elite corner to be effective. For an example look at the Colts or Bears. McGahee can be easily replaced because RB is a plug and play position.

I remember 2001 very well,

But qb's like Brady don't grow on trees,

The Dolphins have a good one I think, depending on how he bounces back

But lossman is a joke

And pennington was once promising, before the injuries.

Alright, Ill let ya have this one then, but only because ur struck with
"Tha Fevah" I'll say four wins. Ill go with routing the bills and splitting the series with both the jets and fins.

i can see the pats winning the division at 12-4 or 13-3, maybe even 14-2

the dolphins, if they fix their db/oline/ and if daunte is finally better, they could go as well at 10-6 making the playoffs (as they're going to get 2 gimme's, houston and oakland)

the jets, theres no kidding that they only made the playoffs because they had such an easy schedule, i see them finishing with a losing record 5-11

the bills they've gotten better, but also gotten worse, they need a good draft to maintain their confidence in losman and company, 5-11

but then again, we never know what'll happen, after the dolphins won out at 9-7 in 05, they started like 1-6, for a team who looked reloaded and ready to take on the pats for the division

Lossman was not bad this past year, and he will be playing behind a much improved offensive line.

He is not a great QB, but he is not a joke.

Honestly it depends. Last year the miami defense was great, but the offense would have been the laughing stock of the league had the raiders not been in the nfl.

On defense we'll prolly be about the same. Older players will decline a little, but the young guys like Crowder, J. Allen and Roth will prolly be better with more playing time under their Belt. You guys can say whatever you want about porter losing a step, even a step slow he is an upgrade over donnie spragan and no one can debate that. As for carter he basically already had lost his spot. By the end of the season Matt roth played on almost all 1st and second downs. There are 3 real worries. 1) Keith traylor's knee acts up and we will be depending on a 7th round pick to hold down NT. 2) with D. Bowens gone there is no Back-up for jason taylor. 3. The secondary is still undefined.

Offensivly we were so bad last year it will be hard to regress any worse than we were. It appears we are going all youth next year on the offensive line. Dockery's agent was saying the fins told them they were not interested in pursuing older OL.

Honestly we'll prolly be about the same as last year barring any huge talent upgrades. I wont put in a number now, but i will put in an estimate once TC starts.

Pats look like they finally realized that when you keep going to the playoffs it's hard to re-stock talent with just later round draft picks. Thomas, was a great FA signing. I have been waiting for guys to draft an upcoming LB for the last 2 years to put behind your vets...

another yr with six?
u do know we only got four last yr right

I'm sure Colts fans were thinking the same thing last year going into the Texans and Titans games in 2006. There are no gimmes in the NFL.

I wouldn't say the Dolphins have gotten worse. When you rank 29th in the NFL in offense, you have to make a lot of moves. McMichael may have been an odd move but when you get a 2nd round pick for your 3rd best receiver that's a pretty nice deal. Welker was a nice player and all, but nothing special. Our OL was terrible and that's where half of the cuts have come from. We also got a lot better on defense with the best pass rush in the NFL. We also have 9 picks in the upcoming draft and are on the right track. I think the Dolphins are going to suprise a few people this year. Don't count them out just yet.

I also agree with an earlier poster who said the Jets were overrated last year. They remind me of the Fins last year who played a weak schedule in the end in 2005. I think the Jets come back down to earth a little and finish around .500. The Bills have lost some of their best players and I don't expect a whole lot out of them, but they can still win some games.

All and all, I believe this has become the best division in football once again. It should be an exciting year and hopefully it ends with Miami on top. :)

Last year the Bills and Jets were pushovers and Miami was going to win the division, it would seem a bit premature to write them off at this point in the season.

It is a long way to go before TC, right now it looks like we have made a lot of the right moves and more are coming. Buffalo looks likes it is adding by subtracting. Miami has a brand new system, which is usually pretty interesting and not convinced they have a QB right now that can play in the NFL and win. The Jets have signed Thomas, but not much else. It is just so early right now, FA is about 2 weeks old, the draft is coming and then the FA releases in June and then TC with its usual share of casualties.. right now it is just too early to know much.

2 Jets - they made strides last year and with the addition of Thomas they are our touhest foe

I still haven't read a convincing explanation of the Bears thinking here. Why give up their second round pick as well as their running back in this trade? It appears as though they were hornswoggled. I wonder how their fans feel about it?
