Saturday Jan. 11 4:30 p.m. @ SEATTLE v. highest remaining NFC seed from WC Round
Saturday Jan. 11 8:00 p.m. @ NEW ENGLAND v. lowest remaining AFC seed from WC RD
Sunday Jan. 12 1:00 p.m @ CHARLOTTE v. lowest remaining NFC seed from WC RD
Sunday Jan. 12 4:30 p.m. @ DENVER v. highest remaining AFC seed from Wild card RD

Not taking anything for granted v. Buffalo.

2012 Divisional Lineup Notes:

a. SAN FRANSISCO had the Sat. 8:30 game, so assume AFC gets that spot this yr.;
b. NEW ENGLAND had late Sunday game, so flip N.E. out of Sunday and slot them for highest TV rating (8:00 p.m.) Sat. game.;
c. ATLANTA had Sunday 1:00 game, so slot CHARLOTTE in what figures to be lowest TV rated game;
d. DENVER had Sat. 4:30 game, so project Broncos get slotted to late Sun. 4:30 game.
e. SEATTLE for the 4:30 Sat. game so you NFC #1 & AFC #2 on Sat., and NFC #2 and AFC #1 on Sunday.

You're assuming that N.England gets the #1 seed then, I take it?

The lowest remaining seed always plays the highest remaining seed. In other words, N.England will likely be playing something in the middle, especially if they are the #2 and the #3 wins--which would set up an automatic trip to Foxborough.

Note: assuming that we win tomorrow and get the #2 seed, which I do not like to do

If they keep the same rotation they have since they started the Sat Night 8pm game. Then this yr it will be AFC/CBS turn for 8pm Divisional game. Thus eliminating the 4pm Saturday game from possible slot.

I believe that is correct. Gotta believe that The Heir to the Guilded Manning Throne will be in primetime on Saturday night. The 1:00 pm Sunday is far beneath that family's exalted status. Even Eli, as in ELIminated, would never be banished to such a pedestrian time slot.

The Saturday night game will be about ratings. If Denver gets Indy that's a lock. The other matcups it will be close but I feel like the national media has been driving Manning so hard this year almost any matchup CBS is going that route.

This is a couple thoughts I have about the divisional round.

Sun 1pm @NE
4pm @Sea

If NE,Den,SF,NO

Sat 4pm @NO
8pm @Den

Sun 1pm @NE
4pm @SF

If NE,Den,SF,Car

Sat 4pm @Car
8pm @Den

Sun 1pm @NE

Far too complex for my mind! But, you're right. The time zones do factor in. A west coast game will not be played at 1:00 PM EST (10:00 AM PST.)

Guys I hope the Raiders pull the upset as much as anyone, but that's pretty unlikely and it seems that many have us slotted for the one seed. If we are the #2 seed, we'll play on the Sunday of divisional weekend. 1 or 430 depends on the time zone for the NFC game.

Broncos were the 1 seed last year and ended up playing on a Saturday, which means the 1 seed in the AFC will play on a Sunday this year. Each year the 1 and 2 seeds switch days on which they play.

That is not how it works. There is not set slot for #1 or #2 seed.

Not true

Pats #1 seed in 2011 played Saturday Night
Denver #1 seed in 2012 played Saturday early

GB #1 seed in 2011 played Sunday
Atl #1 seed in 2012 played Sunday

Days #1 seed played since 2001 season

AFC: Sun,Sun,Sat.Sat,Sun,Sun,Sat,Sat.Sat,Sun,Sat,Sat

NFC:Sun,Sat,Sun,Sun.Sat,Sun,Sun,Sun,Sat,Sat,Sun,Sun

The only question I have is this: If Denver is eliminated and the Pats win after their bye, is the AFCCG played at Foxboro?

"Its not on my radar".:)
Stopping buffalo's Dline and getting a win has to happen first. Rest "we will play whoever they tell us to play wherever"
