Wes Welker suffers 2nd concussion in 3 weeks vs Titans

Gonzalez, Collie and now Welker, Manning gets his slot guys killed out their.

But but but...according the Amendola Haters Brigade, Welker has this super special self-preservation ability that allows him to avoid concussions, unlike glassman Amendola. I'm soooo confused!

It cant be a coincidence that every slot guy who plays for manning ends p getting concussed.

But I thought there were no more concussions in the NFL because goodell said we need to go for the legs?

Welker should seriously consider retiring.

I watched it on Red Zone, so I can't tell you exactly when in the game it happened, but there was one play in particular that Wes ran a slant in, and Manning missed him high and inside. The pass made me wince, as I had flashbacks to Darryl Stingley. The pass route, distance, and trajectory of the pass were eerily the same. Luckily, no DB was on him that closely, and he fell to the ground without getting crushed. I turned to my son and said "he's (manning) going to get him killed."

In this case, it was a good pass, down low, that Welker dropped (2nd drop in a row).

Titans #31 (guess who - hint: Ridley, Gronk, Brady...) put a hit on him that reminded me of the one Dobson got in the endzone earlier in the year, except Welker's head wen to the side.

When they showed him on his knees, his eyes were rolling. He got seriously concussed. Walking off the field, he looked like a drunk.

They should shut him down for a while. Really - rest of the regular season, at least. That was more than a bell-ringing.

Our old "friend" Bernard Pollard strikes again.

Even though Wes is a Bronco, he was one of my favorite Patriots ever. I don't want to see him injured. Hell, I don't wish concussions on players I hate.

Wes shouldn't try to rush back after his last concussion. Two concussions in less than a month is a serious thing. The Broncos didn't miss a beat yesterday with him out. He needs to protect himself.

For once the blame can't be placed on Pollard. It was George Wilson the former Bill who hit him.

I am sorry to hear this. I fear for his future. Also, I can't remember him having to leave games with concussions when he played here. That's not to say he never had one here but I just can't recall that many. Certainly nothing like two in three months. :(

Two in a month is bad he could be out awhile if not indefinitely

Sounds like they rushed him back

I think he's had a bunch of concussions, honestly, but he's too stubborn to show it/go out. Several times over the last few years, he's gotten tagged...and then looked sluggish on subsequent plays.

I'm actually hoping this is the last contract he signs - in no small part because I really love the guy. And Collie shouldn't be playing, either.

I didn't see the play but I called this before the season.

Brady has the fastest release in NFL, you sum that with Welker's hability to get open, then he does his great production safely.

Now, with peyton, slow as hell and throwing ducks...not a very optimistic scenario.

I hope didn't type that with a straight face...comparing the durability of Welker and Ras I Amendola.

I always felt that his quick three step drops were the main culprit to the abuse his receivers see.

When amendola got his concussion from that hit to the head all the board talked about was how welker was so much more durable

OT: Wes Welker suffers 2nd concussion in 3 weeks vs Titans

Well, I am seriously mocking the idiots who repeatedly claimed Welker had special concussion-avoiding powers.

He looked to have several concussions here over the years. I don't doubt that.

I also don't doubt he won't quit even if it is in his best interest. I think Welker is going to play until no one wants him.
