I presume that we would get a pick back.

Carriker?
Hall?
Revis?
Nelson?
Willis?
Other?

Landry - we need our next Rodney.

Carriker without question, if you're going to spend that kind of money it needs to be one of BB's classic impact positions. On the other hand, his new Pro-day 40 times would suggest he's bucking to be the next Willie McGinest, Romeo is going to be really tempted.

Hall is a consideration, though it depends on if his game tape shows that his Combine 40 time translated to the field.

If it were my choice? It would have to be Landry. In my mind he is the most complete football player in this draft. Ofcourse I don't have a professional degree in these matters, just an opinion.

Landry or Hall.

Safeties become effective impact players very quickly these days (no pun intended!). CB is a need position, and CBs are effective pretty quickly too.

Not DL or OLB -- not enough need.

I can't judge the ILB candidates.

Not WR -- below the Larry Fitzgerald/Calvin Johnson level, they're too much of a crapshoot.

Landry, Nelson or Carriker. If....

Landry - we need our next Rodney.

Agreed, however, I am more interested in scenarios where the Pats trade a 1st for two second rounders. I think we may be put in a possition to reach a little to fill a need with the 28th pick unless we trade back into the 2nd. Tampa could be a possible trade partner with two 2nd round picks. If we keep both 1st rounders, it will be tough to watch the players who come off the board before we pick again at the end of round 3 at # 92.

Absolutely nobody.

I liked the trade senario in another thread that had us shipping our picks at #24 and #28 to GB @ #16 and #47 which pretty much works out on the value chart.

Landry is off the board @10 with Atlanta.

Hall IMO based on the OSU and USC game is not worth trading up for.

I'm not sold on Willis in our 3-4. So not in a trade up but maybe at 24 or 28.

Nelson, yes I would especially since Jacksonville, Cincy, NYG, Denver and Dallas all pick between GB and us at #24 and could use safety help.

Carriker yes I would but it's not a position of need for us so not this year.

Revis is a first round value in my mind but I don't think he's a top 16 value.

So Nelson would be my guy unless Landry some how slips.

Nobody. Unless Willis drops down to 15 or lower. Then I would try to trade our 2 #1's to get him and a second rounder.

Willis has the chance to be a special player. But he is still not worth our 2 #1's unless we get a 2nd rounder also.

Ofcourse I don't have a professional degree in these matters, just an opinion.
Enough with the disclaimers, I've submitted a passing grade to patchick, Dean of the Uncle Heatster School of Draftnik Dysfunctionality. You can expect a dual (or duel if you're wheelchair bound) degree co-signed by Wrong Borges, the Dean of Mail-It-In Sports Journalism and Repetitive Punditry for your fine efforts, your hard work, and your message board dementia. Well done lad!

I don't think the Pats will traded up that high and lose two draft picks.

A likely scenerio might be what everlong suggests. If they want Nelson

and he is still on the board at #16, make the trade everlong suggests.

He would be the replacement for Eugene Wilson in 2008. We could use the

#47 pick on a linebacker.

I'd rather keep 24/ 28 than anyone that I see @10-13.

From a value perspective the only athletes I would consider trading up to get is WR Johnson. or OT Thomas. And I doubt either makes it past #5.

I would rather keep both picks and get two good defensive players.
Willis is the only player I would tradeup to get; I think he wil be a star
