LOL, this seems to confirm that Joker is actually BB in disguise...

"I was there (I think he means Cleveland here) for five years," Belichick said. "Five important years in my life, for myself, my family and all that. Obviously, we've all moved on, and I have a job to do here and that's where my loyalty is, is to Robert (Kraft), the Patriots organization and this football team. So it's no different than how I feel, honestly, about the Colts, or the Lions or the Broncos. I feel differently about the Jets. We won't put them in that category.

Wow awesome quote. Just very surprised he said it! Bet the media would all love more of that.

His dislike was probably always there but I bet it grew 10 fold after spygate!

In other words, coach Belichick just told the Jets and their fans:

Guess it is safe to say that he wouldn't go back to the Jets anytime soon. :D

I would love to hear more about it. What caused BB to hate the Jets even before spygate? Is it Woody Johnson specifically? If not, then why?

I believe the origin is when BB resigned as the HC of the NJY, Steve Gutman the president of the Jets publicly suggested that BB had suffered a nervous breakdown and was therefore unfit to coach.Spygate was the cherry on top.

Also, the Jets maneuvered to try to keep BB from interviewing with the Pats. The Pats had supposedly asked to interview him for their headcoaching position, and instead of saying "yes," Bill Parcells quickly resigned to go into the front office and the Jets named BB the head coach, knowing (I think) that he did not want to be the head coach when the team was going through a change in ownership (as he went through that debacle in Cleveland). I know BB has always said that he never stands in the way of someone trying to get a better job, even if it will hurt to lose that person on his staff. Take that, Jets!!

I absolutely LOVE THIS MAN. :rocker:

He has spoken often of his fondness for the Giants organization

Correct. He has done so many, many times. In a filmed documentary ( not sure if it was in "A Football Life) he actually got misty-eyed walking through the Giants facilities.

It was. :)

After 2 Super Bowl losses to them, perhaps his warm feelings have dissipated a bit.

Surprised he mentioned the colts. Thought that woulda changed after Polian.
