NFL Week 13 Power Rankings

Do you mind that Carolina is behind us despite beating us? :)

not that it means anything:

NFL Power Rankings Week 13 - National Football League - ESPN

slowly on the *RISE*. We've beat 2 of 2 top 3 teams that we've played. Could have beat the #5 team but they played well enough to beat us (e.g. control possession and let it come down to the last play).

and lost to the #8 bengals where we didn't have 3 of our skill offensive players (vereen, ridley, gronk) and a hobbled WR (amendola). PLUS the rain on our final drive...

overall, i'm please with how we're doing...i believe somewhat underrated still because of everyones ball-washing of manning. That's fine.

We control our destiny....and I feel confident we can win in Den (like we've done before) or at KC if it comes down to that

i have my NYC hotel booked for first week of Feb.

The Saints struggle against the awful Falcons, the Panthers struggle against the poor Dolphins, the Broncos lose to the Patriots, the Patriots beat the previous Number 1 Broncos....... and yet all 3 teams are ranked above the Patriots

I looked at those power rankings and thought what if we had to play any of those teams on a cold ass day (like this year's SuperBowl), and I smiled.

This thread is a merge; I didn't start one about power rankings.

That said -- if you look at the teams that are 8-3 or better, only two teams so far have beaten 2 of them -- NE and Indy.

That will change soon, given the head-to-head games that are -- well, that are ahead. But unless I'm overlooking something, NE is the only top team that's already beaten other top teams twice.

I didnt smile at all. Our boys were treated for frostbite after the dolphins game.

The Panthers have my respect. They are playing dink and dunk football at a high level with the added bonus of a mobile quarterback. Their style of play at the moment is very similar to the Chiefs. I don't believe it is good enough to beat us in a rematch but I do think it could be enough to make some noise in the playoffs.

Kitties have a #22 to #26th ranked offence, and no serious deep ball. Id say they got lucky vs NE, with a bad call. Their D is very real and a top #5, But I think the saints have a better all around team, and seahawks D would really shutdown any pass on that medium passing offense down. Panthers run game is ok. You can pass over the panthers D front 7 also, the DS is just normal. I dont see them surviving the playoffs if they make it. I really see them as 1 and done, maybe 2, but nothing more.

Still don't know how the panthers are ranked that high. Brady lit up their D for the most part and they had no run game besides newton

If we play them again, it's wintertime in NY. Power ratings are kind of like fantasy football, it's not the real deal.

In severe weather conditions a QB that runs can be a serious threat. His problem will be making it to the SB.

Problem is that is only one position on an entire team that plays it's home games in the South.
