Seahawks CB Brandon Browner is facing a one-year suspension from NFL for violating substance-abuse policy, per NFL sources. He has appealed.

I think the original report was PEDs, then it was updated to say "substance abuse". So technically he could be telling the truth when he says he isn't facing suspension "for PEDs".

I'm guessing it's Adderall...the same stuff that they nailed Richard Sherman with and then he somehow evaded a suspension over a technicality...

This doesn't make much sense though. It can't be Adderall.

Adderall falls under the CBA rule of "performance enhancing drugs."

If he is falling under a different type of suspension that is NOT for PED's, then it has to be something else and wouldn't be Adderall. It would be a recreational drug...

Either that or the story is not correct and he is actually facing another PED suspension, but if it's not a PED suspension it cannot be Adderall.

Either way, that makes 3 of SEA's CB's of Thurman, Browner, and Sherman that have all been related to drug or PED (or both) use. This is what happens when "tickle me Pete" comes in and installs his laid back/surfer dude system. It's actually the main reason why I don't believe that they'll be able to sustain this level of success for more than another year or so.

Thurmond (the guy who replaced Browner last week) is facing a PED/Substance abuse suspension too. "Legion of Boom"? I think it's starting to look pretty clear what makes them as good as they are now...

Especially when you take Sherman's comments into account where he stated a very high percentage of NFL players who do drugs. I believe it was something like 50-60 percent or something. I don't specifically remember because it has been a long time, but he definitely said something that was very eye opening, and may be based on his experiences with the Seattle organization.

As mentioned by a Seahawks fan on another forum I frequent, Bruce Irvin was also suspended under the substance abuse program when he was training with the Seattle DB's. I don't think it's the whole team, just a certain part.

You realize that they're more than likely just using Adderall as an excuse and that it's most likely something worse, right? Either way, Goodell is spineless when it comes to appeals. His suspension will more than likely get reduced.
