A serious offer to become Tom Brady's #1 receiver?

Can't get a much better gig than that.

Stallworth will sign here tomorrow.

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

If he was going to sign here, wouldn't you think he would've signed tonight?

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

Good grief, can we please stop with these misleading thread titles?

How about, "I think Stallworth will sign here?"

Yeah, i dont think that fact that Brady would be the one throwing passes to him seems to have worked, what other free agents have left and then decided to come back and sign, Davis but thats only because Dallas offered rediculous money, even though hes probably not worth it

yeah no kidding, it's getting as bad as the mis-reporting by the news

I.E.

1.CJ injury
2.Welker poison pill that never happened
3.Stallworth signed a 6 yr deal that never happened

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

Did Graham go to Denver, leave Denver -go to Oakland -go to Seattle and then go back to Denver to sign????

Does happen...

So what is your point? You like thread titles that deliberately mislead?

This isn't a whole lot different that the title of this thread:
Moss trade to Pats a done deal
(Moss will take less money to catch passes from Brady)

Brady has shoulder surgery
(in 2002)

Seau signed by pats
(last year)

It seems that once one guy does it, others think it is funny to make more of them. Just frustrating, that's all, to expect to read someting and find out that the title was a lie to get attention.

My point is I don't like threads that mislead. It's in fact getting tiresome of people not researching one bit and flooding the board with misinformation, misleading info, and repeat info.

This was hilighted yesterday when someone tried to compare Welker's contract with Deion Branch 35 mill to 38 mill , and the meantime the psoter had not researched to see that Welker actually had an 18 million contract. No research had been done.

Here everyone has a license to post and it's getting dangerous in here.

Yep I was wrrrr

I was wrrrrrr

Ok i made a mistake:confused:

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

After Stallworth visits Tenn and then Miami, hopefully he will finally realize that his best chance to win now is with the Pats. If he signs elsewhere then it most likely was becuase of the money (more of it being offered by the other team because if the Pats did offer anything I am sure it was fair market value) and that is a player we don't need or want.

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

Let's not get worried here. The Titans shouldn't be much of a threat for him and the Dolphins don't have a decided QB yet. Plus, he's even said the Pats are his first choice.

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

Sounds kinda smart to me, so many of these guys have such a short shelf life, probably best to check everything out before making a final decision.. lot of confidence he will be back and sign here, for no other reason is that we have more to offer and are closest to another ring.

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

can we drop this notion that playing with Brady is a huge incentive?

Let's say the Pats offered the 32M/6 that has been widely reported. If some other team offers 38M/6 I can't see a guy saying "hmm, I can go to this team and make an extra million dollars each year or I can go to this other team and catch passes from Tom Brady. I'm coming Tom!"

It's not just Brady, it is the possibillity (a good one) of winning a Lombardi. After money, winning a SB is second and for some it is even first. Either Contact you listed would set the player up for life financially, winning Lombardi's is priceless in some minds.

Stallworth is too risky for those kind of dollars.

Kelly Washington is much better value

The original post didn't say that. It said that you can't get a better gig than being Brady's #1 receiver and that it would facilitate Stallworth signing here. And it isn't just one nut saying it, I've heard it way too often.

Re: Stallworth will sign here.

If it was about winning stallworth would have signed with the pats yesterday, since he is visiting other teams, its all about the money.

I'm sure if it was all about winning the patriots would have worked out a fair offer for both sides. That being said, I doubt he signs with the pats.
