ESPN Sports Science on the End Zone Non-Call

It's a damn joke at this point. The refs said they ruled off the PI because it was uncatchable. Then that NFL officiating guy is on NFLN and doesn't mention anything about that instead talking about "proper mechanics" and how at full speed you can't really tell if Kuechly is "restricting" Gronk before the ball is intercepted. It's a load of **** and the NFL looks like crap for trying to rationalize a brutally bad call.

It's about as bad as this:

Slap in the face at this point. Lets just keep on winning as a team. We can do it, just gotta can't commit costly mental errors.

all bad reffing aside, that play call should be putting the ball up high.....relatively speaking, the panther coverage is vertically challeneged

it has to be a flag...the only job for kuechly was to push gronk off his route

Most people will probably post to move on, or yada yada but that video is awesome. I love scientific proof to prove points.

It should have been a flag as it was, but if Brady had thrown the ball higher they would have had no choice but to throw the flag. Atrocious call, but their limp, BS justifications are somewhat aided by the fact that it wasn't an especially good throw either.

Brady was pressured on the play. With time in the pocket, there is no doubt that is exactly what Brady would have done.

if he took more time, gronk would have been out of the back of the endzone

Was a space, rather then time issue. Brady threw off his back foot; didnt need more 'time' - just space to plant front foot and the ball would not have been as underthrown

Of course it was a bad call. Everyone knows it. Too bad that it means nothing.
