NEW YORK -- Dr. Elliott Pellman, the longtime chairman of
the NFL's committee on concussions, has resigned from the post.

Pellman, the head physician for the New York Jets, will be
replaced Dr Ira Casson of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine
and Dr. David Viano of Wayne State University.

Pellman had suggested that new co-chairmen unaffiliated with
teams be named to the position. He will remain on the committee
along a group of other non-NFL doctors and doctors from the
Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs, and
the head trainers from the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

i know other articles might have more, i heard this a few days ago through the grapevine but was waiting for an article to some out somewhere....

This article has been out for about a week. Got any other old news ?

let me just add why this i think this is important....pellman is the one responsible for covering up the whole concussion issue. he time after time insisted that there is nothing wrong with the NFL's policy on concussions. There was obviously an issue and this is the result....People shouldnt end up like Ted Johnson and this is another step towards some new policies. The Patriots have a great team dentist making them mouthguards, maybe that will spread to some other teams...

just saw it....got any other wiseass remarks?
No I don't but we don't need new threads for old news that are only tangentially related to the Patriots. Too much stuff going on right now.
