It has been a rough couple of weeks for Collin Kaepernick. First his favorite NFL team the Miami Dolphins makes national headlines for this bullying scandal, then his second favorite team the 49ers loses 10-9 and the Bay area secret that he has sucked every game other than week 1 was exposed.

  • Week 1: 27/39 69.2% Comp; 412 Yrds; 3 Tds; 0 Ints
  • Since: 97/181 53.59% Comp; 1263 Yrds; 6 Tds; 6 Ints

For those of you keeping track at home the Dolphins #1 fan and the 49ers’ starting QB has averaged 12 completions, 158 yards and 0.75 touchdowns per contest over his last 8 games. These stats have led to some wonderful articles in the press.

49ers Blog and Q&A: Alex Smith v. Colin Kaepernick: a side-by-side (by side) comparison

I was never a fan of Collin anyone who takes time away from his teams super bowl hunt to trademark their touchdown pose is someone I fully expect to fail sooner rather than later, I expect Kaepernicking to end the same way Tebowing did with a 3rd string QB job in training camp by 2016.

He's always struck me as kind of a punk/dummy.

He is so so overhyped, also Kaepernicking is extremely annoying. I hate the guy

Dummy? Cut the kid some slack “pros” is not an easy word and the guys in the Dolphins forum say his grammar is solid now these days. Punk? Remember that player we had with a lot of tattoos he was not a punk, oh never mind.

Too late for the 49ers to trade for Alex Smith.

I had not heard of this, so I had to google it. Has he really trademarked a move older than dirt?

The signs have always been there -- I don't know why this kid was anointed so quick as top level. Seems like Jaws said he might be the Great One Evah.

Not sure why there needs to be a thread putting down Colin and Tim???

Some of Colin's tattoos are biblical verses. If Colin wants to do what they call kaepernicking or if Tim wants to do Tebowing nothing wrong with that. Neither have criminal records so why criticize them. Why spend time wishing someone to fail?? I hope Colin picks up his game. As I have said before I think Colin has shown to be an average QB this season. However, I will hold off Judgement till the end of the season before I deem him an Average, Good, or a Great QB. Tebow is still working on things and hopefully he improves enough to get back in the league.

These types of threads should be made for players like Aaron Hernandez, Sam Hurd etc..

He's vastly overrated.

He's a one-read — and then if that isn't there — take off and run QB. He struggles at going through his progressions or reading a defense at the line. The mental side of the game is where he struggles mightily. Take away his first-read and he crumbles.

One dimensional QBs like him don't last very long. To be consistently successful in the NFL as a QB it has to be done from the pocket. Kaepernick has clearly shown he doesn't have the skills yet to do that.

I haven't been a fan of Kaep either. It really bugs me when he does his "Kaepernicking thing."

My reaction when I see that he isn't as good as most people thought he was.

"Goooooooooood"

Not a fan. Did not care for all the commercials in the off season either. 49ers fans are annoying too.

This post really went over my head, Kaepernicking is similar to Tebowing that was the comparison, it has nothing to do with Tim Tebow as a player it has to do with them both having a trademark touchdown pose and in my opinion their careers going down the same track of short term success and an eventual demise. Tim is not an arrogant, big mouth idiot and is a much better person overall than Collin but that doesn’t really matter to this topic.

He trademarked his touchdown pose 10 starts into his NFL career and in the midst of his team’s super bowl run. Aaron Hernandez did not have a criminal record either 25 games into his NFL career either so what your point with that? The player is playing poorly his is over the top and was wearing a Miami Dolphins hat when he was blessed with the opportunity to be a starting quarterback in the NFL of one of the most elite franchises in NFL history the 49ers; that right there shows me a lack of appreciation and gratitude for his opportunity. His regression in performance in his second season shows me a lack of dedication and effort to his craft, if he wasn’t hanging on south beach wearing another teams hat and instead working on being an NFL quarterback maybe he would not be sucking right now.

I am a football fan, I do not give people passes on their poor performance because they share a similar religious view I keep those separate and judge without a bias.

Y! SPORTS

I am not writing off Colin's performance or lack of. I was stating why go on a tirade bashing an NFL player just because they are a confident or trademarked something quickly. There are alot of arrogant players in the NFL. If someone thinks he's not a good football player fine, but no NFL player deserves to be bashed unless they have done something seriously wrong like committed a crime, raped, murdered etc. That doesn't mean that someone can't say oh I think that person is a lousy linebacker, lousy receiver, lousy QB fine. But to take it so far and call the person an idiot and wish harm to that person is just wrong. I have not gave Tebow or Colin a pass based on their faith. I already stated that Colin has been so so as a QB this season. Just like Tebow during pregames this season. I mention the biblical verse tattoos because tattoos were mentioned.

What is my point with the criminal record comment. No NFL player should be bashed to this level unless they have a criminal record or have done something seriously wrong. Aaron Hernandez didn't have a criminal record the first 25 games and during that time he never got most of the flack that Colin gets from some people despite having a clean record. Like I said if you think so and so sucks as a QB, Linebacker, Fullback etc that's fine post it all you want. But to wish harm on that person and calling them an idiot is taking it too far. imo

Hernandez didn't get made fun of because he was on the Patriots team, and he also didn't trademark a ridiculous pose that has been around ages. You might notice that Russell Wilson hardly ever gets bashed, and there is a reason for it.

Great points! I'd add that you'd notice Russell Wilson has improved more than any of the 2012 quarterbacks.

You are missing the point. NO person should be wished harm to them cause they trademarked a pose, or because of the way they dress, or because of their confidence etc. There may be something you do in your own life that some people may find ridiculous or annoying that doesn't mean you deserve harm now does it. I am not going to keep going back a forth agree to disagree.

You are basically saying because Colin does something I find annoying that its okay if someone says to wish harm on him etc.

Hernandez DID have a ridiculous pose after a score...just sayin'...for accuracy's sake...

Bash does not equal wishing harm. Just because I don't think Kapernick is all that good, doesn't mean I want him to get hit by a truck.

Yeah, but as far as I know he didn't trademark it.

heh...well, ya got me on that one...trademarked it?? Kaepernik trademarked his pose?...the next thing you know some genius is gonna trademark taking a dump...and then we'll all be charged two bucks every time the ol' colon creaks....where are the UFO's? please...show up and get us outta here!
