@ Texans in Week 13 flexed

Flexed to 1pm, presumably to make way for Broncos/Chiefs.

This sucks for me, because Pats/Texans was pretty much a lock for being on Sky in the late slot with only 1 other game on and I'm also away that evening and won't be back until HT at best.

The Patriots have announced that their week 13 game versus Houston has been moved from a late afternoon start to a 1:00 kickoff.

Reason for that is that Denver-KC is a much more compelling game, and that had been scheduled for a 1:00 start. Makes sense to move those games around.

that garbage. i specifically made my thanksgiving return flight to miss the 1pm game so i can get back home in time to watch it at 4pm....garbage!

I'm okay with this. 1:00 games give me a chance to do somethin productive for the rest of the day.

I'm surprised that the broncos/Chiefs' game wasn't flexed to Sunday night. CBS must have protected that game.

They already flexed the first meeting to Sunday night so they can't do the second.

Nope.

KC/Denver and Chicago/Minnesota are the network protected games

Protected games for the season
Week 11 Denver/KC & New Orleans/San Francisco
CBS actually “voluntarily” gave up the game because they the have the single header this week. Which meant it would have been a select market game.

Week 12: None. Networks didn't have to worry about this week, as the NFL was never gonna flex out of a Brady/Manning game.

Week 14: Cincinnati/Indy & Seattle/San Fran

Week 15: NE/Miami & GB/Dallas

Week 16: Denver/Houston & Dallas/Washington

I am neutral on this since 4PM games don't bug me.
It's the night games I hate.

As far as I'm concerned, the earlier, the better, so I like this.

I have to coach my son's team from 2:00 - 3:30 on Sundays. I'll just have to DVR and catch up later.

but the Texans got special jackets for this one.

Would somebody please think about the Jackets they got for this one.

:(

It became protected once they moved the 1st Chiefs/Broncos game to SNF. That gave Denver 6 primetime games. With a TNF game still to come. Teams can't have more the 6 prime time night games.

Does this mean the Texans will have to reschedule the Homecoming Dance as well?

Makes sense, CBS would have been crazy not to do it.

The networks chose the games to protect after Week 5 (Week of Oct. 8th) . Denver and Kansas City wasn't flexed until Nov. 3rd.

The 2nd Dever/KC game was protected weeks before Denver got flexed into their 6th prime-time game.

Sorry I should have said the 2nd game game became untouchable once they flexed the first match up.

Smart move by CBS protecting both, knowing one them the NFL would basically force even with being protected. Knowing that giving up the 1st match up assured themselves of keeping the 2nd no matter what. And I think getting the 2nd match up is the better match up myself.

The Texans could only score 6 today against the Jags.
Good flex !

Hopefully the Pats@Ravens game gets flexed next.

I hear CBS tried to flex this game again to 7:30 in the morning because the Texans were so bad, but the league wouldn't go for it.
