Broncos | Peyton Manning to have MRI Monday
Sun, 10 Nov 2013 17:46:08 -0800

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (ankle) took a shot late in the Week 10 game against the San Diego Chargers, and appeared to be gimpy, although he stayed in the game and finished. He said Sunday, Nov. 10, that he will have an MRI Monday, Nov. 11, and certainly expects to play in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs. "I certainly plan on it," Manning said.

I hope he plays against us. I've been looking forward to that game.

He looked like the karate kid hobbling for the snap. It made little sense for him to stay in there at that point, but given the fact the Donkeys are coming off the bye week rather than going to a bye week, this does not bode well for them.

I hope he plays against us so we can crush them without excuses. But after that....

Broncos vs. Titans

Bernard Pollard

^ Hopefully the Titans send him on several blitzes

I hope his leg falls off and lands on Welker's arm and breaks it.

That's too funny. I can agree in the playoffs but I'd like to see the boys kick their ass in the regular season.

Also, having them bump off KC before we deal with them would be nice.

Manning had an MRI...but first they had to cut that meat....from his stupid forehead.

Inside they found this....

doctors are still working feverishly to isolate the "blame" gene before it inevitably triggers another spate of Manning Face.

Feeling the hate is fine.

Wasn't it Peter Gammons who said of Roger Clemens, when he had 299 wins, "I hope his arm falls off"?

Has he complained about everyone else' lack of effort, or the ramblings of a liquored-up kicker yet?

Those are the first signs he's getting ready to start throwing people under the bus. Following those will be less-than-flattering remarks about the game plan, communications from the coaching staff, the weather, his brother, sportscasters, fans, pretty much everyone but him.

Personally, I'm waiting for the day he throws Welker under the bus. That will be goodness on so many levels. :rocker:

With the level of obsession people around here have with regard to Peyton Manning I think you can remove the "OT" from the thread title.

It's not even mid-november and it seems like Manning is slowly deteriorating, how will he survive when the weather gets cold in Denver and games like the one in Foxborough?

He won't.........

The hit, the Whining and some talk that it started during the Indy game.

Y! SPORTS

He could complete passes from a wheel chair with that O line and those weapons....

I don't think it's all that serious myself.

He's out on the west coast. The game was over at around 4:30 their time. My guess is that if they really felt it was that serious they'd have done the MRI at some point after the game in the evening, instead of doing it tomorrow afternoon. Just a hunch. I've heard that they have that kind of newfangled technology out there in the west for those fancy NFL teams.

They may find some smaller issue that allows him to look like a hero when he's out there throwing TD's to any number of his weapons, but I don't think it's anything to get overly concerned (yeah, right) or excited about.

Pretty much so.

The OL is looking more suspect lately, and they're having on hell of a time trying to replace their pro bowl LT Ryan Clady, but his weapons are still allowing him to get rid of the ball very quickly. Only one other QB in the entire league has taken less sacks, and that is Matthew Stafford, so I'm not going to go and cry for him just yet.

Its just eyewash. He is very calculated to throw out MRI so that the chiefs also have something else to think about. This a total belichickian move. If it was bad he wouldve come out of the game.
Also it helps boost his ratings "playing hurt".

It's all very Big Ben like, especially the story he told the sports casters about how he felt like James Caan in Misery, lol whatever Picklehead.

He must have taken a page out of Ben Roethlisberger's notebook.

I agree with you though. If it were that serious he wouldn't have been standing around applauding in the locker room after the game when they dedicated the game ball to the owner, etc. He'd have probably been out of sight getting immediate tests done.
