I'm not ashamed to admit it. I've had their D on my FF team all year and they've saved my bacon many times this year. They've got a great D... and we don't usually do well against a great D. My hope is our almost as good D can keep them lower in score than us.

Would give us a good chance to win imo.

As they should. The Pats have an incredibly hard time against top 10 ranked D's. Not saying the Pats can't win, but this is exactly the type of team they have and continue to lose to.

They have played a crap schedule though, so we will be a huge test for them.

The Panthers D is having a fantastic season. That said, they're going to play a proper Quarterback next week not some gimmick college throwback.

If the Patriots OL comes to play, with a returning Talib and Vereen, I feel good about the Patriots chances.

They have a good front 7 and a secondary thats been pretty cohesive. You should note that San Francisco is a probably the worst passing team in football and with VD out they're even worse than that. They are pretty one dimensional and Carolina didn't have to sell out to stop the run by any means. They can and will be exposed by a team that picks up the blitz and can move the ball through the air. They're built similarly to seattle except they have more talent in the front 7 and way less in the secondary. On offense they have more talent at the skill positions but the offensive lines and QB play are a wash.

So everyone scares you, why make a thread?

Wilson, is way, way better than Newton.

scared?...this is an alien concept to me...if we lose I'll be PISSED....why on earth would anyone be scared off a football team? it's supposed to be entertainment not a horror movie...

The Panthers are a solid team with a great running game and that matches up with a big weakness for us. They deserve to be respected.

But feared? Really? Like are you wetting the bed at night over it?

The NFL goes beyond just fantasy football stats. There have been a ton of close games this season, and we've been in a ton of them. Almost every week, we could have won or lost depending on a few plays. The Panthers could win, and on any given Sunday, anyone could beat us. But you shouldn't fear anyone when we have a HOF QB and HC.

If you are legitimately afraid of a cartoonish blue and black panther, I think you should see someone about that.

Me aswell, they're vicious

No team in this 2013 NFL scares me.

Posted this in the other thread, but it's relevant here

If the Pats are gonna get hit for having the schedule they had for the first 9 weeks, then the Panthers are too.

This was their first win vs a winning team. I may sound like a homer like saying this but in my mind the Pats will be the best offense they've faced so far this year.

NYG, Minnesota, St. Louis, TB, Atlanta and SF, those are their wins.

If the Pats play a sloppy game, they could well lose. With that said, coming off a bye week, I don't anticipate a sloppy game.

The Panthers are hot right now, but they lost to Buffalo, Seattle and the Cardinals. Other than beating the Niners, they have beaten the NFL cupcakes. This is not some goliath that should be feared because of talent on both sides of the ball, but it does have a very good defense.

The Panthers is a very good team.

is that you Tony Mazz? OP? Reminds me of Mazz .. Everyone on the Sox or Patriots's schedule scares the "crap" out of him .. lol ..

the panthers look like an under achieving young team that is finally starting to "get it"

They have been playing really well lately and i would not be shocked to see a loss next week.

I hope we win though

Ugh! Gods no. I do not like Tony Mazz. His voice makes me turn down the volume in my car radio. All he does is screech.

Its just that there are many teams I think we can beat and do not fear. However, the Panthers are a team that I think have a good shot of beating us. Only upside is that they are out of conference.

I'm sure Albert Breer will pull out his patented "The Panthers are a much tougher match up for the Pats than people think."

Hah, I can hear it now: "What people don't understand ..."
