The trade offer, as reported by some newbie with the dreaded "inside info", is Randy Moss and a 4th round pick for our 1st round pick (Seattle's #24). I find this hard to believe. One thing about Moss, I remember him at a halftime show of a college allstar game, and all he kept saying is he would love to play for a winner before he retires. He actually sounded quite grown up, I remember being impressed with the interview. He even mentioned he spoke to some of the players at the college allstar game, and they asked his advise about playing pro football, which he gladly offered. Though I'd hate to give up a #1 pick for the guy, it would basically be Randy Moss and a 4h rounder for Deion Branch, I don't think you can make a better trade than that.

I know, I know, ANOTHER Randy Moss thread, but I thought the inside info was interesting. He also mentioned there was an earlier trade offer out there involving Chad Jackson and our #2 for Randy Moss and a Raider pick, but that could've been way back around trade deadline time.

I did read this, but not going to put much into it.. I do believe when , and I do say when Stallworth is signed, the Moss talk is dead...

I think it's bull. I don't see the team offering that much for Moss.

Moss and a 4th rounder for Branch is a pretty good deal. I think the issue would contract terms.

BTW, I think that it is only posters that think we are (or were) all set at WR. The FO knows better. First Welker (Miami's #1 receiver and returner) and now perhaps Moss or Stallworth!!!

i agree
if we were to get stallworth, theres no way we get moss too

Did this insider say whether the Raiders are initiating this trade? Or is it us?

I take Stallworth over Moss . 3 yrs younger, much more potential, and much more upside... There is thought of Brady throwing up to Moss and having him make a play that is kind of salavating, but I still would take Stallworth.. Now if the unthinkable happens and Stallworth boards a plane for Tenn, then Moss becomes a bit more intriguing...

S93, given how much BB adores draft picks, I would bet they initiated it, and I say no thanks. I'll give a third and Kauczar (I butchered his name badly).

This is the only rumor I have read where a 1st round pick was involved. Every other one has either a 2nd or 3rd.

Welker is not Miami's number 1 receiver.

By the way , who is running the ship in Oakland, do people just talk to lord vader himself in Davis??? They have to have FO guy making deals for them dont they???

NO WAY do I offer one of the #1's for Moss. No. F-ing. WAY.

No. We cant give up our #24.

Take Stallworth then. I just dont want to cough up our best pick in the draft.

!!

I don't know if I buy this logic. There is a gap year in 2006 without either receiver, so is it a good deal when you have to wait a year but already have a team 4 points from the Super Bowl? In other words, if Branch was on the team last year, they (a) probably win 1 additional game during the season, have the Colts at home, and win the Super Bowl or (b) have just enough to get a first down in the 4th quarter and hold off a Colts comeback since they now have a much superior receiver than Gaffney/Caldwell/Brown.

So I mean - In my opinion, the aquisition of Moss (all theoretically) would have to yeild 2 super bowl rings, not just 1, to be classified as a good deal. Personally, I say its 50-50

I would hope Patrick Wills is around at 24 , Tom Brady will love Donte Stallworth more..

give up our 3rd and Marquise Hill or LeKevin Smith!
