Tried watching the pre season game in Providence last night. OMG ... I'd rather watch a bunch of kids on a playground. I know it's re season but this SCHIT is unwatchable. It's gonna' be a long season of getting used to this again ... bring ML Carr back from the grave. Some dude Baab launching 3-pointers ... bring back Terry Duerod.

I still cant believe kg and pp are gone. screw doc rivers. thank god for the bruins.

i am already looking toward the NBA draft...we should have a high lottery pick. On the bright side this is the perfect time for our young guys to get a lot of experience.

Tried watching them again tonight ...BORING !!!

Really horrible ... it's going to be a long season.

They are fine when they can run but when the other team starts playing D they have no low post presence and nobody who can really knock down 3's consistently ... they really struggle in the half court.

I haven't watched yet, but they struggled in the halfcourt whenever it mattered the past few years. Rather than run their offense, they'd put it in Pierce's hands, let the shot clock run down and hope for the best. It was horrible to watch, I thought.

I'm assuming this will be a tough team to watch this year. Going to have to look for the bright spots. :)

At what point does Ainge start feeling real heat for the roster he put together? He had plenty of time to formulate an exit strategy from the Big Three era and given what the C's are working with now, he failed miserably.

I don't think he gets any heat right now, nor should he. It's a window of a couple years, at least, imo.

What roster should he have put together prior to the exit of Pierce and Garnett? Once you lose your two best players, the team usually goes to ****. That's not just in basketball, but in every sport. Ainge deserves a couple of more years with high picks to see what he can put together.

And yes, the Celtics are very boring and very bad this year.

are you serious?:D you wont know how his plan worked out until he uses up all his first round picks. get back to me in 3 or 4 years. rebuilding a basketball team is extremely difficult.

Surely you jest? This season is about tanking for Wiggins.

I believe that he held on to aging stars past their point of having any real trade value. If the objective was a total roster over-haul, then why wait until your best assets are in decline? Having last year's team together was a waste; they had no chance at a championship.

People were saying that in the 2009 season as well and, short of an injury to Perkins and some questionable officiating, looked like they were on their way to an NBA title. As for the haul you guys got this year, you should remember that it was actually pretty good. If Ainge doesn't screw up, the Celtics should be able to rebuild quickly.

I know the Celtics are tanking. I have faith in Ainge and his team. The guy has runs on the board and frankly, unless you have a group of highly prized Free Agents available and a heap of expiring contracts making cap space available, there's only one way to rebuild a team. That isn't in the middle of the draft.

Do you think their trade value was dramatically higher a year earlier?

Gerald Wallace...passionate or a problem?

i feel bad for him ... 10 year vet he's tired of starting at the bottom.
We are in agreement. Wallace should be traded to someone who is a contender.

Can someone inform Brad he is implementing the wrong plan...

WHAT IT MEANS
If the Celtics (4-4) are tanking, they're terrible at it. Boston pushed its win streak to four games and is at .500 for the season. Combined with Philadelphia's loss to the Spurs, Boston is now tied with the 76ers atop the Atlantic Division. We'll say it again: This team is a lot of fun to watch. It remains to be seen if they can maintain this sort of competitiveness, but they've given themselves a chance to win every time out and are improving with each game.
