I remember him clocking 40 times of like 4.24 and 4.26! Does anybody know if anyone currently in the NFL is faster or if anybody ran faster than that in recent years at the Combine? He could certainly stretch the field out for any team that he plays for. I hope we get Welker but Stallworth would make a nice addition too for the right price.

The only faster guy I've ever seen in my life is Ted Ginn Jr.

I would say Bethel is right up there but we all know how that worked out.

Being fast is way overrated IMO. Being quick with great timing gets you the separation needed to be a great receiver. Jerry Rice really wasn't that fast.

yeah, i remember bethel and terry glenn both clocked around a 4.28 in the 40 but neither of them really worked out for us, so speed isn't everything. Ginn looks faster than Stallworth even though i don't think his official 40 times at the combine were better than Stallworth, bj, or terry glenn.

Bethel Johnson is equally fast.

Bethel as well as Chad Jackson. One a bust, and one dangerously close to becoming a bust. Speed isn't everything.

yeah, i believe that Chad Jackson ran like a 4.32 in the 40 so he's the current member of our team that has the most potential to become a deep threat. Hope he doesn't become another bust.

Seems like Glenn worked out really well. The kid came in and tore things up. I wonder what numbers he would have put up had he kept his head and played with a decent quarterback.

How the hell do you call a 21 year old, who's had bad luck with injuries, and is just entering his second season a bust? I bet you didn't know that Jackson matched Watson with 3 touchdown catches.

Chad Johnsons first season: 12 games, 28 rec, 329 yds, 1 td
Terrell Owens first season: 16 games, 35 rec, 520 yds, 4 td's
Reggie Waynes first season: 13 games, 27 rec, 345 yds, 0 td's
Donald Drivers first season: 3 games, 3 rec, 31 yds, 1 td
Steve Smiths first season: 15 games, 10 rec, 154 yds, 2 td's
Issac Bruces first season: 12 games, 21 rec, 272 yds, 3 td's
Lavernues Coles first season: 13 games, 22 rec, 370 yds, 1 td
Mike Furreys first season: 13 games, 20 rec, 189 yds, 0 td's
Javon Walkers first season: 15 games, 23 rec, 319 yds, 1 td
T.J. Houshmanszadeh first season: 12 games, 21 rec, 228 tds, 0 td's
Plaxico Burress first season: 12 games, 22 rec, 273 yds, 0 td's

Notice anything? Those guys were all TOP TWENTY recievers this past season!! GIVE THE KID A BREAK. You act like every reciever the Pats draft should have Marques Colston rookie numbers.

fabian washington ran a 4.25 and 4.27 i think at combine few years ago

No matter how sane your argument is and how many facts you use to back it up it will continue to fall on deaf ears. Once people make up their minds that's usually it. Sad.

Not in the NFL but I remember reading some track dude ran a 3.9.
