Suppose you're able to draft any 3 players in NFL history to start a team with, who do you take any why? Other people are going to be able to spend their 3 picks right after you, so extensive planning and strategy is impossible.

I'd pick:

- Aaron Rodgers, because QBs are essential and he's one of THE best with no apparent weakness in his game.

- Reggie White, not much needs to be said here, he was simply that dominant and could play today with no problem.

- Anthony Munoz, he shut down many of the games best defensive ends for a long time.

So, I'm trying to pick the guys that are the most irreplacable to start my team. I'm not going to take a back, even though there have been some legendary running backs because I think the decline from a great back to a good one is less than the decline from any of the above mentioned guys to just good ones.

Discuss.

Tom Brady - most 4th quarter comeback wins in league history (or best percentage?), one of the best ever.

Jonathan Ogden - one of the better modern era tackles.

Walter Jones - again, one of the better tackles of the modern day.

QB and 2 of the best to protect him, that's a foundation to build a team on for 15 years.

Would have gone with Munoz too but you have him and the way I read your OP this is a concurrent thing so can't pick any players picked in previous posts.

Tom Brady, Deion Sanders, LT

Tom Brady does NOT have the most 4 quarter comebacks in league history

Might have been best percentage then on a list I saw the other week :p

He was at the top of the list and it was to do with 4th quarter comebacks.

Did you just say Aaron Rodgers is the best qb ever...?
I'd take Jerry Rice, Tom Brady(Joe Cool a close 2nd), and Reggie White.

Joe Montana. Jerry Rice. Deacon Jones.

Arguably the best 3 players at their respective positions.

Tom Brady
Reggie White
Deion Sanders

4-6 would probably be

Anthony Munoz
John Hannah
Andre Tippett/Lawrence Taylor (depending on the defensive style of the D.C.)

Tim Tebow
Chad Jackson
Chad Johnson

Dan Marino, Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.

Jim Brown
Lawrence Taylor
Tom Brady...

Reggie White
Lawrence Taylor

Tom Brady, Reggie White, Jonathan Ogden.

Joe Montana
Walter Payton (my favourite player ever)
Lawrence Taylor

I didnt say Rodgers is the best QB ever but that'd he'd be my first choice to start a team with. As far as a comparison with Brady, Rodgers numbers are definitely better, he also has better arm and much more mobility, Rodgers can roll out and make passes on the move much better than Brady. The more I can make the opposing defense prepare for the better.

OT: All time NFL draft, who do you pick?

I'm picking players not already picked

Ray Lewis - d coordinator
Barry sanders - freak
Peyton manning - o coordinator

With the last pick, I'm picking myself. It'd be a blast just to be in camp or warm the bench!!!

Tom Brady
Lawrence Taylor...

...and trade the 3rd pick to the Jets for Bill Belichick.

LT (Best defensive player I've ever seen in my life - The Minister of Defense is a very, very close second)
Jerry Rice (Best and most consistent non-QB in the history of the NFL. 'Nuff said)
Brady (G.O.A.T.)
