yes you would. Because even losing to the saints is not a biggie in my book. Non conference. They then play the Jets (would feel so bad for them with pats coming off 2 losses) and MIA at home. 2 games they will win. So IF they lose...after the MIA game I still see them at 6-2

I wish I shared the optimisim. I mean, I understand the reasons for it.

But the offense looked so putrid yesterday. And it did against the Jets, too.

Can it really rebound so that the team can beat good teams on a regular basis?

I think so but it's hard for me to get the picture out of my head of the utter offensive ineptitude that we saw against the Jets and Bengals.

And let's face it, Tommy hasn't been on fire, either.

Season is still early, and I think the chemistry on the offensive side is getting better.

Chemistry getting better, Not based on what I saw yesterday, enough of that.

We played our first game against an NFL football team yesterday and our defense was great but the offense stunk because of Cinny 's defensive line and our weak talent. The other 4 teams were "want to be" NFL football teams, Bills, Jets, TB and Atlanta. We will lose to NO and our record will be 4-2. The injured offense will come back and if we close out at 11-5 we win our division. Will we win the SB not as of today but it is still a long season. BTW anyone that says the pressure isn't showing on Brady isn't watching these games.

During the Jets game I'd have been ecstatic with 4-1 at this point. We seem to have weathered the storm of the early offensive struggles which most of us saw coming. I'll be honest I'm not confident at all going into the Saints game. Even if Gronk comes back it's just his first game and he clearly won't be himself for a few. Hoping for the best but expecting an L there. Important thing is to win the Jets/Dolphins/Steelers games and be 7-2 going into the bye then I'd say we're in good shape. Over the 2nd half I believe the offense will hit it's stride. If our defense is still playing this well we have a solid shot at a first round bye.
