The Official Patriots vs Bengals Game Thread

I'd hope all the receivers have good days if the Bengals CBs are Pacman, Newman & Kirkpatrick!

kirkpatrick isn't good? I honestly don't know, 1st round pick right? Bengals seem good at drafting cbs.

From reading various things from Bengals fans this week, they don't seem to like him.

Just Googled him to see what's up and it auto filled to "Dre Kirkpatrick bust" about halfway through typing Kirkpatrick!

I think we come out three wide with a wr screen. Attack a banged up secondary. A few rb screens would be nice too, get our heavies attacking that beat up secondary...

As much as I hated it in years past, this seems like a good game to use the pass as a run (see; Welker, Wes), and with Bolden and possibly Washington, the few backs we have healthy would seem well suited to such a game plan. Dink Em to death and let kt/dobson take those has beens by surprise deep.

Is Schefter just assuming since he's active? How the hell would he know he's part of the gameplan on offense?

Come to think of it, releasing Sudfeld makes no sense if you assume Washington's not going to play today.

Pacman and Newman certainly aren't...

i'm ready too...perfect...h.19 in Italy when kick off will start the game @ The Jungle

i love this time games (1 pm) - so all is perfect...

now it is the time to say the usual...

GO PATS !!!
AVANTI PATRIOTI DEL NEW ENGLAND !!!

Yes, Kirkpatrick is bad. Perhaps more of note is that their dime CB is Chris Lewis-Harris, who was on the practice squad two weeks ago. If I'm running this offense, I go with 4 WRs and an RB a lot.

With Ridley out and Bolden limited with a knee injury, Blount will get more snaps in the backfield. Is today the day we see Washington return kicks?

Pats Inactives: Slater, Barker, Beauharnais, Collie, Ridley, Wilson, Gronkowski

Bengals Inactives: Michael Johnson, Leon Hall, Mike Pollack, Tanner Hawkinson, Rex Burkhead, Ryan Whalen, Brandon Ghee

hope not. I like being able to run to the store, get my laundry down, come home and make a sandwitch before Blount gets to the 20yd line.

Which wr has the biggest game today for the pats? I think having amendola will open up for the rookies, especially Dobson, to get better matchups throughout the game and in the red zone. (Only if Danny isn't limited in snaps).

Look, even without Hall, you can do a lot worse than Newman, Jones and Kirkpatrick. Plus Reggie Nelson is back.

More important for the passing game is the absence of Michael Johnson. This should allow the Patriots to slide more protection up the middle to protect Brady from the wrecking ball that is Geno Atkins.

I put a very small bet on Dobson to get 2 TDs @ 18/1 and with the Bengals weak at CB and the Pats having all WRs available, it looks pretty good now!

Also took the Pats at -1 and the D/ST to score at some point.

Yeah, pretty confident on this game, even with the poor weather conditions.

Weather looks like it could impact or even delay the game if thunder is imminent. At least they have experience playing based on Jets game in similar conditions...

I want to hear another Brady vs Manning debate. I haven't heard enough of those...

Oh man the Bengals are just getting slaughtered.

Marino and Sharpe getting flustered as Boomer says Brady has been more impressive than Manning.

Yep lol. Man I really want Tom to hoist his 4th Lombardi this year. He would essentially end all the comments on who is the best ever.

Given how much Cincy plays 2-TE, I am betting Spikes has a lot of snaps today. Probably a good thing, given it is rainy and the Bengals may try to test the running game with Wilfork out.
