I presume this means three things:

(1) They'll try and get him on the PS.
(2) They're going to promote a DL.
(3) GRONK.

I kind of thought this might happen soon. Doubt he'll make it to PS but we can hope.

Not surprising.

He wasn't mentally or physically ready for the NFL yet. Hopefully he goes unclaimed and is signed to the practice squad to further develop his game.

This sounds like good news on the Gronkowski front.

I expect he'll clear waivers at this point, although it is a dicey proposition.

But if Brady's freezing him out, it doesn't matter one way or the other. :(

I wish I get a day in BB's office as he goes thru the decision process.

Phew!

As long as Jake Bequette is still on the roster, we're fine!

Not surprising. Guy looked pretty lost out there.

This has nothing to do with Brady. He just looks overwhelmed out there, IMO. I thought the kid had potential, he looked good in preseason. But when the real bullets started to fly, he struggled. That muffed onside kick didn't help either.

No, it didn't.

But he looked good in the preseason, so I would hope they don't give up on him altogether.

In any case, I expect that given his struggles he would have been a goner soon anyways (since the Pats will need to make room for some combination of Vereen, Armstead, and Harrison in the weeks ahead).

i wouldn't put it past the giants to claim him, the giants O has been horrid, and they need a tight end pretty bad.

Collie takes Sudfeld's place as a receiving target.

I'm not ready to assume this means Gronk is going to be active.

We've already seen a shift towards more 3-WR formations and fewer 2-TE sets.

When Vince officially goes on IR another DT will be signed.

I think I read that Vince did go on IR today.

Your second point is true. If he blows, he blows, and in that sense nothing of any real value would be lost if he gets claimed.

Still though, I'd just like to see him be kept around as a developmental prospect on the practice squad. With enough time to work on his body through weight training, and on his blocking he could turn out to be a decent player.

He might have played above his head in training and the preseason which led to him being overhyped, but he showed at least some potential.

I guess there's a reason he went undrafted. Seems to have all the necessary tools but probably needs more time to get accustomed to the speed of the game from scrimmage to regular season. Here's hoping he lands on the PS.

I do hope he gets on the PS. This makes the Collie move make a lot of sense. Our O just got a little better and we will need to take every chance to do that if we want to win these next 2 games.

I still think Sudfeld can be a good TE in this league and we should not give up on him yet.
