Ok i was driving today and thinking about how lucky Larry Brown was. Neil O'donnel throws a couple balls right at him and then next thing you know he wins the SB MVP award and then gets a big contract that he doesn't deserve.

Then i thought about Ray Lewis and how he literally got away with murder.

So that got me thinking about who the luckiest player in the NFL is/was

My vote is Larry Brown but i'm only 24 and haven't seen much football compared to many of you.

Who would you vote for?

oh yeah, and what about Jim Sorgi (or however the hell you spell his name)

that guy has maybe the best job in the world.

what a lucky bastard getting into that spot at that time.

Leonard Little..he actually killed a lady in an accident when he was drunk and hes still playing..

Terell Owens- because in a normal world he would not be able to be assit fry cook at Burger King..

Ray Lewis is a close second

Jim Sorgi is very close as well.

No doubt, You or me do that and we are behind bars for 10 years. Ofcourse you OJ and Ray Lewis beating the wrap too.

What about OJ?

i think this is turning into criminals. but whatever, i like the idea.

LeKevin Smith ,Lucky to still be a part of another season in New England ;) ;)

yeah i hope he doesn't get cut.

but the good thing is that every year we draft some obscure rookie...

I would never dream of replacing LeKevin, im just saying........

Dan Klecko,
drafted and hangs on at Pats without contributing and gets 2 sb rings, cut by Pats and lands at Colts, and gets a 3rd.

ok what about Nate Clements ? (sp)
he's lucky Assante was franchised.

That guy does not deserve 10 million a year, every year, for 8 years.

that's ri-damn-diculous

is he honestly that good?

hahah no kidding what a jerk.

Jabbar Gaffney too... he was eating Doritos and watching CHiPs on his couch last year and then the Pats called and he gets Brady throwing him balls.

Agreed. Much like Dany Heatley, who killed his teammate who was riding shotgun while Heatley was driving drunk and going 100+ on Atlanta city streets before crashing into a wall, he got off only because he was a pro athlete. Heatley got like 10 hours community service and had to talk at drunk driving meetings. That's it. Not even sure if Little got that much.

Then again, I'm sure the emotional stress those incidents caused have haunted both of them. Not like OJ or Ray Ray, who did what they did with some forethought (OJ with the murder, Ray with lying and failing to bring the murderers to justice)

Adam Vinatieri not that he isn't a great kicker but that 47 yarder in snow was lucky and if that didnt go in where is the legend of Adam V now. I guess that means we are all equally lucky

I don't see no championship banner in Buffalo so I say he will not make much of a difference to where San Fran ends up this year, maybe will help in the outcome of a game or two but don't expect more than 9 wins in SF in 2007.

In 2 years I see the 49ers back in power of the NFC, Frank Gore,Vernon Davis are beasts and Alex Smith has the potential to be an all pro QB in 2 years from now,Thier offence will be great in time,If they are SB bound in 2009 it would not surprise me.

I'll go with Clements too.

no way he gets that contract if 49'ers are able to approach asante too.

Didn't Cliff Stoudt win a couple of Super Bowl rings and qualify for a pension while backing up Bradshaw before he ever played a down?
Matt Cassell has had a good life so far. Just needs a couple rings now.

Well then you might as well say the Tom Brady is lucky because when that ball was knocked out of his hands in that very same snow bowl it was ruled an incomplete pass,Does that not also count? - That game also became the start of the Brady Legacy,If that call stood as a fumble where would Tom be right now?.

Criminals apart, I'd have to vote for a top first-round draft pick who turns out to be a bust.

Johnathan Sullivan got $10 million, I believe. Sign for enough money to set yourself up for life, play at half pace for two or three years, get cut ... nice work if you can get it!

:singing: what about the Huard brothers...?

they are both in their 40s and played backup qb for 20 years if im not mistaken:singing:
