No, it doesn't appear to be yet.

Clayton reported yesterday morning that the Pats were about $19.1 million under the cap, obviously not including the Thomas or Brady signings. I'm not sure if it includes the cap effects of the Heath Evans signing, or the few escalator clauses/incentives that were reached with Caldwell, Wilson, Warren, and Scott.

Hmmm, the AFCE outlook is good. Miami was hard pressed with so many players unsigned and now the situation is exacerbated. The Jets just took a hit relative to the Pats. Buffalo's owner and management is SO disfunctional that it's almost irrelevant that they pick up $3M.

So, the Pats cap jumped from 109 million to 112.87 million. Sweet.

What is confusing is that the certain reporters who will remain unnamed insist on NOT including the Franchise Tag on Samuel when the report about the Patriots cap. Look at Miguel's figures and add 3.8 Million. So around 17.1 million, minus whatever Thomas' contract is.

So, so far we've used the cap money on Samuel, Thomas and Kyle Brady. Not bad at all once the Thomas thing is official. Of course, this cap money will go way up again if we end up trading Samuel or up a bit if we sign him long term.

The 3.871 has nothing to do with Salary increases. The 3.871 is the amount that was left over from the Patriots having LTBE bonuses that went UNMET last year and the NLTBE bonuses that were met last year. And NLTBE bonus that was met last year does become a LTBE bonus this year if its still in the contract.

Miguel has already figured in the salary additions for Caldwell, Scott, Warren, and Wilson to get to the 13.3 million.

The increases to Scott, Warren, Wilson, and Caldwell weren't LTBE's. They were escalators of some type added to their base salaries, which wouldn't at all be factored into the $3,871,580.

Do Adam's numbers include the adjustment for exceeding the cash cap?

This is important because, however much we were penalized this year, we'll have the pay the same penalty in each subsequent capped year of the current CBA.
