 I highly doubt it, but what would happen if the deal falls thru???

I am trying to remain calm. The thing is,I believe he can walk away from the deal at any time. If he reads or hears that Clements got 8 yrs 80 million which I'm sure he already has, what's to stop him from walking away from the deal?

A couple notes of my own. Maybe he isn't all about the money and really wanted to play here. I'm hoping that's the case. Who can afford him now that the 49ers have spent a large chunk on Clements?

The obvious chance to win a Super Bowl next year.

I'm pretty sure this is a done deal though. It just has to be finalized.

Of course there is a chance. Maybe he didn't realize that he might be able to get somewhere around $8.5-9 million a year, rather than 7.5. But lets just hope that doesn't happen. ;)

:(

I think the hard part of the signing is over.. negotiations and such.. This is the easy finalization part, he takes a physical, both parties but their signatures on the contract, done deal.

I'm wondering if his agent is still getting calls from other teams? That's a little like college recruiting in that coaches will call up until the kid signs even if he's committed to another school.
Do you really live in Alaska?

Someone said Thomas has a deal at 7.5mil/yr? Any details of the contract confirmed?

Curran said 6 yrs @ 60 mil.

Breer/Tomase added it included $17.5 mil. in guaranteed money.

Yes. There is a chance the deal falls through if Thomas fails the physical. But I'd say there is a better chance of you winning the lottery than of Thomas failing the physical.

Or a better chance of you getting kicked in the balls by a stranger on the street than of Thomas failing the physical.
