Patriots + Gronkowski = Divided

Uh oh Gronk gonna try to Derrick Rose us......on a serious note I'm not confident anybody not affiliated with the patriots knows what's up.

I'm getting tired of reading the word "sources."

Ditto. But wait, its from the Herald so it must be true, right? I mean the Herald would never write a false story based on "sources" ... (sarcasm ... cough ... John Tomase) ;)

As usual the Herald headline seems overblown.

Sounds like he is medically cleared to play by the team medical staff but he doesn't feel ready yet and would like to wait. If he isn't mentally ready, they probably don't put him out there this week.

the worst thing he could do is come back to soon. week 6 is fine with me.

"When you don't have a interesting story make one up" That is the watchword of most of the media these days, and the Herald in particular.

This is another typical non-story created by the media. Its right up there with the "story" that Brady was calling any vet WR with a pulse after game 2 to recruit them. In the end it was another miss by the media

The sad thing is within minutes this will be reported as FACT in outlets like PFT and ESPN, and it will be up to the Pats to disprove it. A simple "no it didn't happen" will be totally ignored. Borges will have a field day with this. Be assured that he'll take every opportunity to use this story to promote his never ending agenda the Pats are somehow the real "evil empire"

if hes ready to play though, the only way for him to be mentally ready is to just get out there take a few hits and see that hes fine....if he feels he needs to wait until week 6 we shouldve just pup'ed him

No we shouldn't have because he would have never been able to practice all this time and get into game shape. Pup would have just put him out farther from coming back.

"Ron Borges contributed to this report."

Oh, if Ron Borges contributed to this report it must be true!!

the way to do this is what Belichick should have done for the divisional game against Houston last year. Activate him and use him in goal lines only. Gronk targets a few TDs - gets the blood flowing, and will build mental confidence for 60 snaps by the first game after the bye.

Oh, if Ron Borges contributed to this report it must be true!!

The fact that Borges is allowed to contribute to anything without the word "plagiarist" behind his name is a joke.

"Ron Borges contributed to this report."

Oh, if Ron Borges contributed to this report it must be true!!

Excuse my ignorance but I was deployed overseas for most of the 1998-2008, what exactly is Ron Borges problem with Belichick, does it stem from something or Borges just an ass for the sake of being an ass?

I wonder if Drew Rosenhaus is a "source"?

Can we not post links by Ron Borges? Every time someone clicks on the link, he becomes relevant.

The headline and the title of this thread. They're only divided if they make him play and there's no indication they're going to put him out there if he's doesn't feel ready.

He could have practiced just not with the team. I believe. Ice he could have done drills worked out etc.

I wonder if the arm is strong or does he feel it didn't heal right or something?

If Gronk is uncomfortable with coming back right now, the team should listen to him. Mayo, Chung, and Gronk were all rushed back in the past and it came back to bite the team. Gronk should go when Gronk feels that he's ready to go and no sooner. He's too valuable to rush back.
